Islander Taste Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

I like Islander taste chinese food is fresh made with a lot of flavors but my complaint is when you call by phone do not ask for delivery in rush hours like lunch or dinner try pick up because the order can take a long time to be delivered in my case took 1.40hours after a couple of phone calls in case that they forgot my order. I don't know why this business isn't organized delivering the customers food on time. If you are busy and you can't handle it the amount of orders received so hired more delivery drivers to give a good service. Thank you to the young girl at the front counter for giving an excellent customer service and be patient with phone calls orders and the line but when she isn't there is a different treatment hanging the phone on you multiple times without answering definitely...

We ordered our food 2 hours in advance. We never received our food and then called an hour in and asked where the food was. We were then told that it was on transit. We live 10-15 minutes away and we still never received the food. We then called after waiting 2 hours to cancel the order for the girl on the phone to give us a problem and then the delivery person knocked on the door five minutes later, and yelled at the youngest for being inconsiderate and for "not calling". If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. And this is not the only problem we have had with this place. We have also found bugs in our food and was over priced once. We had our first meal here in Feb 1984 when we moved to Staten Island. We had no furniture in the house and nothing in the fridge. We were very happy to find this place The past 20+ years, their menu has added another section: Chinatown style. Our grandchildren who live in Jersey want us to bring them crunchy noodles from this place (pan fried noodles). This dish is very close to Hong Kong style. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
