Woodrow Diner — Restaurant in New York

Have been here many many times. Today the visit was a disaster. Asked twice for meat to be cooked better- but not done enough. Asked for more cole slaw but received a tiny paper cup of it. Charged extra money for ordering a wrap on panini bread instead. Price is same on menu but they had the audacity to charge extra because it was on a different bread. Always ordered this dish. The manager was quite defensive and said I ordered a wrap on panini bread- same price. Told him I always order this and have never been charged. Have never seen such stinginess when asking for additional cole slaw. And their prices are just as expensive as any other diner. Was surprised that it wasn’t one if the three top diners voted in SI Advance. I was shocked that manager argued over the additional one dollar they charged for substituting one bread for another. Disappointed that after asking for better cooked meat twice, my wife still ended up leaving half sandwich. They are just as costly as any other diner but seem to be cutting back quality and portions of cole slaw. Whether you are looking for breakfast lunch or dinner, this place comes highly recommended by the entire Woodrow area. Their prices may be a tad bit higher than other diners here in Staten Island, but you will have a friendly waitress serving you who are for the most part genuine and sincere. Never had a problem here to say the least. The managers are very disrespectful and rude. My boyfriend ordered a wrap and when it came it was dripping in oil and he took one bite and realized that this is not what he wanted. We respectfully told the waitress to please send it back and we just want it removed from the bill since he didn’t eat it. We ended up just sharing my wrap and everything was fine until the manager came over to my boyfriend attempting to NOT remove the wrap from the bill and worded his response in a way that blamed my boyfriend for ordering a wrap he didn’t like.
