Sunset Pizzeria is a fantastic pizzeria. Sunset pizzeria has long been the subject of my curiosity as my late parents told me I went to school with the owners son. Last time I came here I had a relatively good memory of it. However, I was not completely certain of the details behind it, so I decided to come back to consummate my understanding of the place. It was an experience not to forget! What Sunset Pizzeria really distinguished itself with was the service I got. I got 1 buffalo roll, 1 pepperoni roll, 1 buffalo slice, 1 pepperoni slice and an order of Mozzerella sticks. The buffalo roll was great with good portions and a great taste even if it was as hot as Stromboli which was to be expected as it was freshly made. I have similar to say about the pepperoni roll being a good size and tasting well whilst being at a scorching temperature. The mozzerella sticks were a different shape but were functionally similar. I would say it did feel more similar to mozzarella in carozza though. The slices were massive, which is exactly how I remembered it. The buffalo slice was a bit of a bit different from what I expected but still tasted great. The pepperoni slice tasted good and met my expectations as far as a pepperoni slice goes. One of the people there, (I would describe him as having a Mediterranean complexion and a medium build with a face that can be firmly described as belonging to someone of Statentalian stock) noticed the size of my order and made it his duty and desire to give good service immediately clear. When I was trying to split the buffalo and pepperoni rolls to cool them down because they were too hot, he came and split them with a rolling pizza cutter for me which was awesome to watch. Throughout the order he doted on me to make sure everything went well, he was surprised that I was just going to eat the entire order at the pizzeria. By the end of it, he remarked that with the way I go through the food, I must be an MMA fighter. Ultimately, the food was great here but the real star of the show was the aforementioned statentalian and the amazing service he provided. Honestly he made eating there a pleasure. I'd gladly go there again if only just to see him again.

I was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. My family came from the old country and no one knows pizza better than my folks! The one thing we missed about being in Brooklyn was the great pizza, the meatball sandwiches, the Calzones, the garlic knots, and of course the smiles you got from the Pizza shop owners. The sad part is that many of those old pizzerias that have left for "greener pastures." Gone are the old timers who knew how to make a classic slice like the one you may have remembered from the movie "Saturday Night Fever," when John Travolta ordered two slices from Lenny's Pizzeria in Bensonhurst Brooklyn. Even that joint closed down this year!

So when Bay Ridge got overcrowded, my family and I moved to Staten Island. An excellent move because it reminds me of home, but I thought I would never find a traditional pizzeria again! In fact, I thought they all moved to New Jersey. Well, I was wrong!

Out in Rossville, Staten Island otherwise, known as the "South Shore," there's a great little Pizza joint called "Sunset Pizza." I have to tell you that they have mastered the art of pizza! Not only is their pizza great but I tried, believe it or not, Buffalo Wings for the very first time! From what I understand it is a restaurant favorite. It comes dipped in a mouth watering hot sauce that is absolutely delicious! You can even dip them in barbecue sauce and it is better than sweet and spicy sauce. It is to die for!

Lastly, you can't go wrong with their entrees which are all equally delicious! Honestly, I am happy I found this little diamond! And what I love the most about it is they way people are treated. Always with a smile and what can I do for you? Such a nice place to be on Saturday afternoon! I am glad I found...

I’ve been going to this pizzeria for many years now. I used to enjoy going here until it felt like I was getting ripped off. I believe they make up prices on a daily basis. Because I ordered a chicken parm hero last week in person, and it was 14 dollars. Then just yesterday I ordered one again but this time over the phone, and it was Apparently $15.50 I did not place that order! I check there website and Menu in the store, and it says 14 dollars so the following day I go in person and order and it’s back to 14 dollars this isn’t the first time something like this has happened to me here. They do the same thing when it comes to getting a side dressing. Some days it’s 50 cents then others it’s a dollar. It’s just unfortunate because I’ve been going here for years, and it’s my local pizzeria, and it no longer feels family like(It hasn’t for the past year now). I Strongly believe this is due to employees, not being properly trained and the constant workers that go through this place. The food is usually a hit or miss. I also believe this is because theres always someone new making and preparing the food it when I look behind...
