Pio Hot Bagels — Restaurant in New York

Today I was stunned by the service.. nevermind the amazing bagels everytime that never let me down.. but the service. Its ashame to see such a good establishment treat their customers with 0 respect. As a disabled man approached the counter with a grubhub order that he was delivering, the order included two beverages that were placed on a holding tray. The man asked for an extra tray to put underneath to make sure it was sturdy so the drinks didnt drop. The man working replied with “why? I dont get why you need another one! I cant give these out to you for free. But tell me why”. Its a single tray that he was asking for To ensure he was able to hold and tranport the order properly. The man behind the counter did not want to accommodate the man at all knowing he was disabled. Until he noticed all the customers looking at him crazy maybe then he proceeded to give a tray because maybe he knew he was wrong? But its ashame to know accommodating a disabled person is a problem and has to be questioned. If i could give zero...

I go to this place once in a while the bagels are good but what I did not like was the customer service. To begin with the person who took my order and was making the bagels put on one glove and then started to scratch his face with the other hand that had no glove picked up garbage from the floor and then continue to make the food. Then the person who I tried to have a conversation with and tell him my order cut me off and told me that he knew what I ordered and gave me the price so I gave him my card paid for it. While I waiting for my food and then when I got my food he tells me oh I didn't charge you for the other sandwich Well if you would have not cut me off when I was talking to you you would have known what was going on. Won't go...

I love their bagels but they need to update their page in regards to their hours and their phone number. It says they open at 5 am and I’ve gone several times at 6 am to see they are still closed. That’s fine, but their Google page says they are open at that time so it needs to be fixed. Also, they NEVER answer their phones. I know they get very busy so phone orders might be difficult. Just take the number down instead of making it a gamble if you will pick up the phone or not.

Edit: Thank you to Pio for responding to my post. I apologize for not seeing your new Covid hours. The only issue remaining is answering the phones. Solid bagels though, definitely one of the best...
