Jamaican Flavors — Restaurant in New York

MOLD! I bought 3 full meals, 3 patties and 3 pieces of cake. Got home to eat the food first and then the cake, all to realize halfway through that there was mold on the cake! (Pictures attached). I called today Monday 8/5/24 at 5:32 pm and RESPECTFULLY notified them that this had occurred, the man that answered the phone did not express any remorse or acknowledgment of the issue, neither did he offer any solutions to rectify the situation. Instead all he said after I notified him was, “Thanks for letting us know, I’ll check.” I let him know that I was dissatisfied at his lack of remorse and he said “He didn’t know what to say”. An apology is a good start, followed by some sort of solution!

When I asked for a manager he let me know they wouldn’t be in until 9pm and when I asked for his name as a reference, he did not offer it and he rhetorically asked me for my name. The food is sooooooo nasty ! I’ve never had bad Jamaican food until I came here . Im not a picky eater either but this is just horrible even the beef patties are so bad and bland like water and mush . So weird . The lady there had a horrible attitude as well and was scared to give me oxtail even though I’m paying for it ! She filled the plate with nasty rice and gave me bones and a dot of sauce on purpose . A damn shame because this spot wasn’t far and would be convenient but I’d rather starve ! That’s how freaking horrible no one should accept that for all...

The food is great honestly but horrible customer service. Some (not all) of the workers at the front don’t understand customer service, especially the Marcia lady. She always seems like she’s having a bad day. I feel unwelcome and as if I’m begging whenever I go there. I’m not suppose to feel that way as a customer.
