L & R Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in New York

My mother called to order food from here. They ordered a pie and chicken wings. When we opened the chicken wings one of the wings had what looked like a piece of Brillo pad wire inside of it. It was inside the wing and sticking out. My mother called to let them know about it and was told what do you want me to do about it. So I decided to call them and asked for a manager/owner. I spoke with joe the manger and he told me they don’t make them. That they are just the middle man they buy them and cook them. I said ok but they are the ones buying them and cooking them so it’s up to them for quality control. It wasn’t like it wasn’t visible it’s sticking out of the wing. I asked what solution he’d offer. He told me that he would refund me for ONE wing or send me ONE wing to replace it. I asked if he felt this was the right thing to do and he said yes because only one chicken wing had the issue not the whole order. Who would eat the rest of the order after seeing that? Needless to say no one in my family will be ordering...

Quick Rant: Ok so I order from L&R pizza all the time but this will be the last time NEVER AGAIN. I called and made an order at 5:50 ok I ordered the #1 seller 20$ and tax 21.95 almost 22.00 ok whatever that doesn't bother me it comes with one pie 1 order of garlic knots mozzarella sticks and a soda. The counter person said it will be 30-40mins ok. Now it's 6:45 I call asking where the food is. The counter worker I don't know? Did my driver leave? I don't know they say. How do you not know?? The pizzeria is very small so how can you not know? I said if my food is not here in less then 5 I'm going to cancel also I'm not far from the shop I'm literally 4-5 short blocks away. Food comes the pizza is burnt and cold, nasty the soda flat RC Cola from the dollar store and they didn't even cut the pizza. I've spent a lot of money here and to be treated with disrespect because of my neighborhood? I think it's a tactic they like to use to not deliver saying they have been robbed before. Ever since they changed to new owners the food quality is much better I can say! However they need to train their employees better who take peoples order. Today a new girl took my order. Me and my wife ALWAYS order Penne with Brocolli lunch special.. when i told her on the phone, she said it would be extra for the broccoli and i tried to explain to her that it comes with broccoli and i always order this. She said again it will cost extra.. so I wasnt going to argue about it and just said okay fine.. but just the fact that im getting charged a few dollars extra just because they have a new receptionist is really unprofessional and shows a lack of training their employees .
