La Baguette Shop — Restaurant in New York

La Baguette Bakery on Nostrand Avenue will literally never be getting my family's business again. The disrespect, unprofessionalism and lack of business etiquette is next level. For years, we visited this shop for their Haitian patties. We've even bulk ordered them for parties and events. This past Saturday I hosted a meeting at church and decided to bring patties for the group. I ordered 4 dozen patties in advance. 2 dozen fish patties. 1 dozen spinach and 1 dozen beef. Due it being lent right now, we opted for more fish than any other because a lot of people don't eat meat during this time. The day of I went to pick up the patties and in typical Caribbean business style the service was slow with a side of attitude but I was used to it so I let it go. I just took my order and left to attend my meeting. To everyone's surprise, all of the fish patties given were actually chicken. Thank goodness we had no strictly meatless eaters in the meeting or else we would've had an issue. We decided to call the business to let them know they could have harmed someone. Instead we were met with nasty attitudes. We asked for the manager and the very manager lied to our face and said there was no manager there. He then told us that he's too busy to deal with us and that if we really had an issue that we should've brought it back. Long story short: Stop doing business with La Baguette Bakery on Nostrand Avenue. They are rude, disrespectful, liars with terrible...

Good food and horrible service! Really a shame that they have a good product but their service staff and lack of supply overshadow. Called ahead of time to confirm what they had available - soup joumou, pastries, bread and patties. Arrived and was told that "the soup didn't get here yet. 30 minutes." I've also previously come to this location 3 times in the past month and they never have hot chocolate available. I decided not to wait for the soup and ordered patties and bread instead. My order was a few cents from the $10 minimum for card payments and the cashier refused to ring me up unless I bought something else! I asked if she could make an exception seeing as how my intended purchase of soup and patties would have met the $10 minimum. She rudely replied no and said there was no manager available to verify. They lost a customer, and I will be taking my business and coins down the street...

The man at this location is unpleasant and rude. Has been for years. I go there every once in a while hoping his disposition has changed. Today, of all days he showed his tail. I am embarrassed to send ppl to this location. They do not like the service so I direct them and others to a different locale. Maybe, it's because it is prime real estate, easily accessible. However, in East Flatbush, there are many places to choose from and I think everyone should excersize their right to spend their hard earned money where there is decent customer service. For all those who are tempted to say Haitians are like that, no they aren't. There is a Haitian bakery at 1625 Nostrand between Beverly Rd and Tilden that will be more than happy to serve.
