Pleasantly surprised! Came here on a whim for Mother’s Day dinner bc my grandma spotted it from across the street. Didn’t know what to expect, but def not highly of it… Atmosphere is typical FJ restaurant setting - busy, loud, and clean-ish (by Chinese restaurant standards.) Food: We got the beef ofal noodle soup, beef fried noodles and popcorn chicken and they were all hits! The braised beef in the noodle soup was so flavorful and tender; it got more and more flavorful as I chewed! The ofal didn’t stink of organs which is a huge plus for me. The fried noodles reminded me of pad Thai, slightly sweet, which I love. And the popcorn chicken is exactly what you would get at Vivi’s, except you get a lot more for a similar price. The flavor and the quality were def there, maybe even better than most. (I grew up in this area and have most of the restaurants around so it was a huge surprise when the food exceed expectations… or maybe the bar has been set really low? Haha!) Also, the portions are huge! A grown man could probably be decently full with just a single dish which averages $12 after tax. Service: The owner is really sweet once you get to converse with her. She came off as impatient when I was ordering, but it was understandable as the phone was ringing off the hook and a line of people were waiting for her. Once she had a breather though, she’s super friendly and talkative and wears a constant smile; she reminds me of my aunt! Overall, super excited about this find. I think the 3.4 stars are soooooo underrated! Please give this place a try if you’re in the neighborhood! P.S. You order at cashier and pay for your food first. If you dine-in, they’ll bring the food to your table and clean up after you, but be nice and don’t be a slob. I don’t think tipping is mandatory here like most restaurants so tipping is def appreciated and shows that you enjoyed...

Very down-to-earth, local, traditional Chinese restaurant where the environment is quite noisy from the lady talking to the phone and relaying the orders into the back kitchen.

You order at the counter and they bring you the food. one of the best thing about this place is, YOU DONT HAVE TO TIP. Once you’re done with the food, just walk out and they’ll take care of clean-up.

The food portion is great, the price is cheap, and the dishes are very flavorful. My favorites are the skewers (beef and lamb). Their Poached Loneley fish dish is also great — nicely spiced, good amount of fish slices and a wide variety of vegetables. Their braised beef rice is quite regular, nothing too special. It’s the same beef they use in the noodle soups. I should have ordered the noodle soup instead.

Overall, great place for authentic Chinese food at a great price and...

This is a no frills restaurant where you go in to eat really affordable delicious food then leave. Seating is limited so you may share a table with others. Order at the front and wait for them to call your number to bring the food over. Noodle soup dishes are fantastic, especially the house special. The order of BBQ squid is a large portion. As other reviewers have mentioned, please do try them out! It's a family spot, it's a local establishment, and they take care of their customers. We left full and very satisfied with our experience....
