This playground is suitable for young children at the very basic level, but my review is more for people with dogs like I have. I use this playground to take my dog for a walk on the surrounding outskirts of the park because they have a lot of grass in this one to three block radius from sixth Avenue to fourth Avenue so I usually walk him in a circle around the playground And he gets his smells on. Usually the park is not full of other dogs so it gives a nice stroll for the both of us without having to worry about having to say hi to 1 million other dogs also when I get tired of walking, I sit down in the back end of the playground away from the children’s area more and closer to the soccer or baseball field area and they have several benches which are pretty well kept. I’ve seen the parks department here cleaning up so I would say it’s pretty good for walking your dog. Also, my dog has never caught any bugs from the grass thank God so I would say that the parks department does a pretty good job keeping it clean in the surrounding areas, they have a dirt field to play soccer baseball and I’m not mad at it. So if your dog is like mine, and needs some green space or grass to get their anxiety out This is a good place to go.

I have been taking my kids to this playground for years, as it is fairly close to home. While there is separate play equipment for toddler/preschool age and older children, and it is an accessible playground in the sense that the equipment has ramp access and there is an accessible swing, the playground is consistently not well kept, creating hazards for the children playing there. The concrete has cracked and uneven spots, and even in the rubberized ground surrounding the play equipment, grass and weeds are growing up through the cracks enough to cause a tripping hazard for any child running around, having fun. However, there are toddler swings, which is a bonus, but the whole of the playground, including the swings are in full sun most of the day--making this playground best to visit in...

Cute park close to home. Mostly in the sun during the day. My grandson loves running around, the swings and the ramps & slides. Pretty clean but could use an update/renovation. Has bathrooms open in an emergency! Lol sometimes homeless hang out but not much when kids are there. Working water fountain. Ices guy shows up between 3:30 & 4:30 or so most days. Sometimes cotton candy...
