Little Miss Muffin 'N' Her Stuffin — Restaurant in New York

Ok this place gets my money, everytime and it is not only bc I know the owners but bc I genuinely enjoy the food. I try to get just one or 2 items BUT I always end up leaving with 2 or 3 cookies, 2 or 3 muffins, 2 patties & hot food if it is Wed- Sat.

My favorite muffins are (since 2023) double chocolate... (since 2022) cinnamon, pistachio, orange blossom, cranberry, red velvet... Yet to try the corn but I have heard rave reviews. 2023 Update: The corn muffin is alot like cornbread....great in the morning,with butter or plain.

My favorite patties are Jerk, BBQ & don't sleep on the vege patties guys. It took me a while to order it but it was really good.

My favorite cookies are the sugar, white chocolate macadamia nut & the chocolate chip (warmed). Update: 2023...double chocolate and red velvet cookies are soooo delectable!

YOU GOTTA TRY: Patty with coco bread (or croissant...yip) Jerk chicken patty w a double chocolate cookie in it. (yes, I had the same reaction) THE GINGER LEMONADE or SORREL drink (from the kitchen)

My favorite hot foods Rice & peas, stew chicken & potato salad Spinach rice, lentil peas, curry goat Oxtail, rice, macaroni pie, potato salad Fried bake & salt fish Fried bake & shark Corn soup Cow heel soup (or a mix of the two) The roti is really good too, I like a chicken roti with slight pepper and a Mauby drink from the back or a "Dougla" (sorrel and ginger lemonade mix)

The one downside is that the service can be slow at times but the food is worth it. I use the opportunity to zen out or visit early in the morning or away from the peak lunch and...

I would have loved to try this place! I saw the great reviews and how people were raving about it and said I have to go! Especially being a person who LOVES muffins.. I made the effort to travel and come try this place. I went in and the staff was so unwelcoming.

I believe being welcoming when people are spending their hard-earned money (especially in a pandemic) at your business. It is necessary and just a simple respectful thing to do.

I entered and no one was at the front which is no problem at all but the problem comes when this tall man who works here comes to the front. He takes his time walking to the front, then when he finally comes he just stands there and stares at me. He looks so uninterested and doesn’t care I’m standing here. No greeting, nothing. I had my phone in my hand ending a call so I think and said to myself let me move my phone down and let me greet him first. I say very nicely and chipper “hello, how are you?!” Still nothing. I even did a little wave being considered that he may be deaf. But still nothing! I left. A small energetic “hi” or a wave to welcome me would have been enough. He didn’t even need to tell me the specials or anything. I was looking so forward to trying there items after traveling...

My go-to spot for a jerk chicken patty! Authentic flavor but it is not spicy. It costs around $3 but it is packed with flavor and meat so you get your money's worth. It is better to go earlier because they do sell out of some of the patties like the jerk chicken and veggie. I went around 11:50am on a Monday and there was no line. This place typically has a line so if you are looking for a good time to go, I suggest Monday during the early afternoon. I will definitely be back because I am always curious about the food.
