I grew up around 8 ave and used to love this place. But now I can say I am really disappointed at this store. The sandwich price went up to 8 dollars which I will be fine with if the quality stays the same. However, the filling has become 1/4 of what it uses to be. That bread to filling ratio is just pathetic. I went back multiple times thinking maybe they just messed up once. But every time I end up with such a sad sandwich. You should not be raising price and decreasing in the quality on your food. I will never come back to this place again, and people should really avoid this place and actually support small business that cares for customer and what they serve. I would give this place a negative score if possible. Update: walked by on 4/15/2024 and out of curiosity went in to see if maybe they change for the better. Lol nope. Price went up again and just when i thought the filling cannot get smaller, they did. Wow. At this rate, maybe in a couple year I can get a piece of just the bread for like 15 bucks. If people actually crave bahmi, I would suggest walking down to 42nd st 8 ave and get bahmi at Ba Xuyên.

This is my go to place for viet sandwiches. 👍 I usually get their number 1 sandwich which has the pork and the hams in it with spicy. Their sandwiches include the meats, parsley, pickled carots/turnips, and cucumber in a crispy baguette. They raised the price within the past year (I believe...) so now their regular sandwiches are $6 and then their number 3 sandwich (with full pork) is $7. The shop inside isnt very big so usually people order stuff the sandwiches to go... they also have a number of snacks and products to buy inside too. U can also get coffees and other drinks here too.

It seems like the prices keep creeping up and the portions keep getting smaller, but Thanh Da II is still one of my favorite places to grab a banh mi in Brooklyn. Their #1 contains a savory BBQ pork and ham combo, which really hits the spot, especially if you wash it down with an iced coffee.

The parking situation is terrible, expect lots of double parking and masses of pedestrians. I would recommend calling ahead of time to place your order, especially during...
