It's clear that this boutique diner is family owned, right down to the permanent shrine dedicated to a motherly woman at the back table. I really want to like this tiny diner because it's convenient, but there are a few things that consistently annoy me the few times I've visited. CUSTOMER SERVICE You have to be aggressive or obviously of latin decent to get any attention here. When you walk in and politely wait to be seated, no one at the counter notices. Even though there are always 3-4 people there. You have to grab one of their attention to let them know you'd like to sit, or they assume you're picking up an order to go (which you still have to alert them). Its nice to see that they help each other out, except the waitress has to fend for herself. There's just 1.5 waitresses. The .5 is a very pregnant woman who is slow, understandably of course (poor thing), and spends most of her time chatting with the Spanish speaking customers. The main waitresses seem dazed, over-worked, and usually forget at least 1 thing from your order. I constantly had to quickly flag down anyone I could get to get a table, menu, utensils, napkins, water, the bill, etc. It's a bit exhausting. Additionally, the tables are really small, so it would be super helpful if they cleared the table as they passed you so that you have more room to continue your meal. Overall, the staff are cordially but woefully inattentive unless you speak Spanish (I truly wish I was fluent 😒). They are very focused on the delivery orders. FOOD The guacamole and chips are amazing! Some of the items on the breakfast and lunch menu are good, too. The coffee, hot chocolate, and assortments of tea are pretty good as well. Particularly, the Mexican items on the menu are especially very tasty. The pancakes were awful, it tasted like a burnt dirty grill. Yet the pancakes were golden brown. No amount of syrup could disguise the gross flavor. Overall, it might be best to stick with the Mexican food items, french toast, omelets, bacon, sausage, fries and burgers here. The rest of the menu is a matter of trial and error. So it could be a hit or...

The ladies that work here are extremely rude. They forget orders all the time but pretend there’s a “wait time”. I’ve heard them admit this because they assumed I didn’t speak Spanish. I’ve heard them trash customers too. Incompetent just for the food to taste disgusting. The steak in the steak & eggs had a ton of fat on it. Barely edible and everything else is just bland. Management doesn’t exist. This is ran by a bunch of people who probably spit in your food when they don’t like you. Stop supporting this place and let something new come into our community that respects its customers. Wait times can be ignored and a day or two where the food may not be as good - but when the people at the establishment treat customers the way that they do it’s a whole other level of bad. They are consistently awful and DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANY FEEDBACK YOU HAVE TO GIVE THEM! They will literally laugh and gossip about your concern just 3 feet next to you. Support the corner stores and wait until everyone...

This place used to be so much better before they changed owner. First of all, we’ve gone various times and gotten the same waiter who always gets something wrong. We order a large milkshake, we get a small. We order a raisin bagel and she brings a plain. She asks how many sugars in the milkshake and she proceeds to judge and say that’s a lot of sugar. Then we went one day and the tables were full, that’s okay it’s a busy day. But we were quite literally kicked out in the freezing cold saying we can’t wait inside because we were in the way. Keep in mind they kicked myself, a 2 year old toddler and my older mother out in this freezing cold. The food isn’t bad for the price which is the only reason it gets 2 stars...

Under new management. This is a diner, and the people are really friendly. They also are serious about serving good food. While I was there they ran to buy more avocados because the ones they had weren't good enough to serve when they cut into them. I had a delightful spinach and feta croissant sandwich. Every ingredient was tasty and the whole was spinachy and feta-y and melty. The croissant wasn't one of the atrocious, bread-like rolls people try to pass off as croissants. Admittedly, the sandwich was too limp to pick up, and I ate it with a fork and knife and completely enjoyed every bite.

This is my favorite diner in the area and I am a regular visitor because they never let me down with their food! The service is usually pretty good whenever I visit so I don't have any complaints and if they ever mess up my order, its never an issue for them to correct it. This diner gives me a nostalgic feeling anytime I visit because it reminds me of an older restaurant. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the early closing time but I suppose its to compensate for them opening so early.
