Peking Kitchen is the best Chinese restaurant in the Pelham Parkway neighborhood and they have surprise Japanese and Spanish dishes you crave.
Friendly staff and casual ambiance make this the perfect afternoon stop for lunch with moderate seating accommodation of 6 tables and 20 chairs.
The seating area is modestly cleaner than most Chinese restaurants of that size with a health department "A" rating you don't have to worry too much about food safety.
There are no bathroom accommodations at this location as is the standard with all the eateries on Lydig avenue. But the restaurant is air-condition which makes it a great cooling station for the heat of the summer.
Their lo mein and fried rice is very good although I wish they included Chinese mushrooms in the vegetable lo mein and fried rice.

Read moreI’ve been going here for years and it has always been my go-to. For the insanely cheap price, they offer surprisingly extremely good food. For example, they sell a large vegetable egg roll for like $1. Downside is if you wait like even 10 minutes too long, the food can get a little mushy since there is so much sauce on the food but, if eaten hot and fresh, it’s on par with a 5 star restaurant (a little exaggerated but you get the point). If you’re going to order here, I have a little trick if you don’t do this already. For example, lets say you want the General Tso Chicken and Fried Rice; instead of ordering each separately and paying more, say “General Tso Chicken on Fried Rice” and they give you a generous helping of both in one container...
Read moreThey have phantom pricing. Based on other reviews and my personal experience ordering from them for many years, I noted something was off about their prices recently. I went there a week ago to get an updated menu and was given a link to look up the menu. Today tried to place an order for delivery and it totaled to 36.45 (33.45 + 3.00 tax) and when I asked, “how much?”, they quoted me $40. When I disputed the quote “he” went on to say prices are very old. How could that be when I just got the link for the new menu a week ago. It was posted on their window! I will never order from them again!! My new go to is Panda at 791 Lydig Ave, Bronx, NY 10462. Much more affordable for the same...
