I had my valentine's day event here. The good part about this space is that it was spacious and that they allowed ample time to set up. I started to wonder why we got the whole time to set up even though the event was in the night? So, the tables were prepared well with the table cloths and chairs and set up well. I give them that. However, the carpets needed to be shampooed. Next thing was that, they didn't discuss prior to the occasion the pertinent questions such as what time meal starts and such. On the day of the occasion, they kept coming up to me saying that the staff had to leave at a certain time so dinner had to start serving 2 hours after the event starts. I just agreed and allowed that. The starters weren't bad. But I ordered mostly jamaican food for the session. It was the worst ever!! I looked at the rice and it looked so wet. Their rice and peas looked near dark. It tasted like the chef was practicing and didn't know the culture at all. The oxtail was tough and didn't have any flavor. The chicken were still undercooked, and again, no flavor. Everything on my food menu was a disappointment. I might as well have carried my own chef. Then, the servers were supposed to be refilling the tables with juice, sparkling cider, wine, etc. We had to keep asking. They weren't watching really to be abreast of that. The servers looked a little upset if you should ask me. Then, when they did start serving the sparkling cider, they just threw it in the glasses sparingly. If I didn't ask if they were going to serve that, they wouldn't. They probably served about 10 bottles for about 60 people, if so much. Of course, everyone did not get. I also requested wine. They didn't give that either. Overall, this was the worst occasion hall I had been to. I believed that since they were associated with Eastwood Manor, they would be better. They were not!! I will not be having another occasion here until they at least change it to a chef like that of Eastwood Manor. They are overpriced...

Our church, Bethel Gospel Assembly hosted an All White Prayer Luncheon at Maestros Caterers in the Bronx on Sat, Sept 14, 2024. From the initial signing of the contract to the final arrangements...the attention paid to fulfilling our every wish was INCREDIBLE!! . The Banquet managers Bill and Victor were full of patience and professional. Their ability to return calls in a timely manner, listen carefully to the various requests that we had, work with our budget, provide the accesories requested when it came to additional decor for the event, such as beautiful chair cover bows, special king & queen chairs to accentuate our honorees, a podium with a microphone, and a recently beautifully renovated Banquet Hall, was by far EXCEPTIONAL.

Let's talk food.... The sumptuous 10 selection buffet they provided was beyond delicious as it supplied a menu that taste just like homemade food. The jerk chicken, oxtails, curry goat, brown stew fish, rice n peas, mac n cheese, fresh string beans, fried plaintains, yams and salad tasted as it does when you cook at home. It's so rare to find a catering venue that makes delicious homemade tasting foods. They offer a variety of other menus that cover a wide range of other cultural backgrounds from Italian to Spanish, and others. There isn't anything we asked for that they weren't willing to provide or somehow make happen.

The accent touch of the red carpet entrance for our honorees, topped of with fireworks at their entrance center really brought incredible excitement to the grand entrance of our honored.

If you are serious about your budget being made possible, enjoying delicious food and treated with respect and professional care .....look no further, Maestros Caterers is your ONE STOP BEST...

I was a bit disappointed at how unorganized the preparation for this event seemed to be:

Entering through the front door, I was left to wander among the multiple event rooms to locate my party. There was no greeter at the door nor any placards to guide one to the proper room. I asked a few workers, using the party girls name, and was repeatedly told there wasn't any party with that name. I knew that was inaccurate, but what was more amazing, not one of the workers offered to assist me further. They simply walked away.

I arrived at 7:30pm for a 7pm soiree. By the time I wandered the halls, it was about 7:40. I finally ran into another party goer who guided me to our room (that was mislabeled). It was an open bar with no bartender. I asked a few of the workers when the bar would open. They all said it should already be. I couldn't get a drink until well after 8:00.

I'm not a big drinker. I might even be considered a lightweight. I try to avoid unnecessary calories, so I ordered tequila rocks with lime. Between the drinks I ordered and drinks that other people brought to me, I must have had 12 straight tequila drinks that night looking for some sort of a buzz. My Uber there and back was a waste of money. I could have driven. I wholeheartedly believe that the tequila was watered down.

The appetizers during the cocktail hour were superb. Pictured is the onion soup bites. I literally could have had them as a meal. There were a multitude of other little delights that I don't recall, but they got it right with the appetizers.
