I had my reception here. Cocktail started at 6PM , it was 6:20PM and no food was put out or set up for the arriving guests. The manager was paid an additional $200.00 to display a drop down projector with my dad's picture for the father and daughter dance and during the dance with my brother, no projector was displayed. My decoration vendor was trying to set our stage up and the manager threatened to sue her so my reception stage was half red and half white, it was cocktail hour and my decor lady wasn't finished with setting up because the manager and her kept going back and fourth arguing about the stage which I paid to use. The stage was supposed to be covered with a white sheet so now my reception pictures look horrible it's partially covered and its half red from the color of the stage itself and half white from the partially covered sheet. The manager Manny did not allow my decorators to cover the stage to be one coherent color. There were no red ropes to guide the guest to cocktail hour on the roof so The hall was opened up so all my guests walked in and saw me taking pictures beforehand and started seating themselves since the area wasn't closed off and nobody knew where to go.No staff was assisting or guiding the guest to the roof and honestly it was horrible and I would NOT recommend this place . They are disorganized and will rob you . I was lucky enough to get a food tasting selection in...that too I had to argue with them to set a date up with me. I had to remind them to turn the AC on and during the reception in a room full of 250+ people they kept turning the AC off . My wedding day consisted of my husband and I chasing the manager and staff down to get things going right before our reception started. It was super stressful and I was visibly upset and everyone knew that. They were also missing about ten tables we had agreed on in the contract when we finalized the head count . So my decor lady told me while I was in the bridal room and the manager got an attitude when he was told about the missing tables. Luckily I didn't look like a fool and caught it in time. This is such a beautiful space and I live in the area hence why I chose it over other venues but after that experience that I'll never get back, I don't recommend it . It's a beautiful hall and if ran by the right person it can thrive.also at the end the manager asked us for tips ...look at how stupid and messy the stage looks.....

Most of the good reviews are from the owner Mani begging for "5-star Google Reviews." There are too many reviews in a short period of time, take that into consideration.

At first this hall may seem more affordable than the other venues, but once you book an event here, you realize how greedy this typical Punjabi owner is, where everything is an extra charge.

You have to pay $2000 for valet parking, which the garage underground only holds 56 spots, they park the cars elsewhere on the street, plus the valet employees are still begging guest for tips. The manager Shaheen takes his employee's tips, so please hand the waitstaff directly tips.

To rent the rooftop is another $2000 alone, plus per head even for an Indian wedding if you bring in your own food. They did renovate the rooftop with new flooring, and it is enclosed with heat. To use the TV to display slideshow is another charge. Mani and Shaheen nickel and dimes you for every feature when you are already dishing out $50k-70k for an event.

They will not provide staff to help put centerpieces on the table, again another upcharge, you have to organize that yourself or talk to your decorator.

Majority of the food is Indian food, do not expect any Americanized or Italian dishes. There is another charge for food tasting, and another charge for cake, most halls already provide that in the price. Then they charge you again for a bridal attendant.

It is not worth it here, please go to a better venue in long island that can suit your needs and pay the money where they actually take care of you.

So much feedback from guest mentioning the owner Mani is greedy for money and does not take care of his guests. The hall is fairly new to attract guest but that is all it has going for it.

I would not recommend this venue to host your event. The General Manager Shaheen will take his waiter's tips, write down agreements on the contract and still will not honor his word during the event. He will refuse to adjust the air conditioner to cool down the place while the event is happening, guests are complaining, and he does not care.

The food is average, it is not a restaurant. All Punjabi/Indian style menu. This is a real experience review, not the other reviews where the owner is asking for positive Google reviews to falsely boost the...

Maleen Banquet Hall was the perfect setting for our Indian wedding and reception! From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the one. The space is absolutely beautiful, with high ceilings, elegant chandeliers, spacious ballroom and beautiful rooftop area. It provided the perfect backdrop for all our ceremonies and celebrations. They were able to seamlessly transition the space from our traditional indian ceremony to our lively reception, and everything looked stunning.

What truly made our experience exceptional was the service. The entire staff was incredibly attentive, professional, and accommodating. They anticipated our needs before we even asked, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They handled all the logistics flawlessly, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy our special day.

A special shout-out to Shaheen the manager! He was an absolute dream to work with. From our initial inquiry to the wedding day itself, Shaheen was incredibly responsive, organized, and helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, from coordinating with our vendors to making sure our families were taken care of. They were always available to answer our questions, offer suggestions, and address any concerns. Shaheen's calm and reassuring presence was invaluable throughout the entire planning process. He truly made us feel like their top priority.

Maleen Banquet Hall not only provided a beautiful venue but also an exceptional experience. They helped us create the wedding of our dreams, and we are so grateful for their outstanding service and the incredible work of Shaheen. We highly recommend Maleen Banquet Hall to any couple looking for a truly special wedding venue, especially for those planning an Indian wedding...

As a West Indian Dancer in the NY tristate area community I have been honored to celebrate over 200 bride and grooms on their special day. I have had the pleasure of experiencing many different venues in the area and Maleen holds a special place in my heart. Maleen Banquet Hall has been on my radar as one of my preferred venues to have my future wedding at since 2019 when I performed for a wedding reception. Ever since I have been back, the managers have recognized me throughout the community and on social media and have been an absolute pleasure to work with! Manny, Shahine, Manav, and Neal were amazing to work with throughout the entire process! I made sure my second call after setting the date was to make sure Maleen was available for me on 9/14/24 in 11/2023. We were not disappointed at all and thank the entire team for their dedication and commitment to making our wedding a success! The catered food was amazing, they accommodated 400+ of my guests. We were never short of food, drinks, AC, space, and hospitality. Their in-house vendors matched their level of elegance and quality. Valet made my guests worries at ease with not having to look for parking. Maleen’s decor on its own speaks for itself and you will truly be amazed and wouldn’t regret making this your next venue for your upcoming event!
