I took a virtual cooking class with Chefleen and we made Korean BBQ. It was delicious! I've cooked along with her on her Real Life Cooking Channel and this was my first time taking a class through her site. I just couldn't resist the opportunity to learn how to make Korean BBQ at home! Chefleen is a great teacher. I am a real stickler for measurements, but she gives me confidence to start tasting my way through dishes. I don't have her expert chef tastebuds, but she answered all of my questions and would look at my food as I cooked to make sure I was on track. I was amazed at how delicious the meal came out in such a short amount of time. We prepared Korean bbq chicken, short ribs, and two side dishes ( a garlic spinach and pickled cucumber dish), as well as a dipping sauce for the meat. What I love most is learning how simple cooking so many different types of dishes can be. Chefleen always includes tips on what to look for while cooking, what the goal is with the flavors, and general information about the ingredients we're using and cooking techniques. She doesn't just give you a recipe, she makes you a better cook! Can't beat that...
Read moreI have worked with Chefleen in a number of different instances, including attending her Lovers & Friends dinner party series, cooking along with her on Real Life Cooking, as well as having collaborated with her on multiple annual holiday parties. What I really appreciate about Chefleen is her creativity in re-crafting traditional dishes with a modern spin and her ability to create a full dining experience. For our holiday parties, she always creates tasty and festive bites, which the guests always enjoy. Lovers & Friends brings an elevated and intimate multi-course dining experience with delicious food. I especially appreciate her taking the time to explain the thought process behind each dish with the theme of the night. I look forward to working with her on many...
Read moreChefleen is an amazing chef. She has the ability to be very creative while keeping it simple at the same time. I have been around quite a few private chefs (not my own, def. not balling like that lol) through colleagues/mentors and chefleen ranks the best as she is able to connect with her clients and really understand their particular wants/needs. I think this is very important aspect in regards to hiring somebody that puts the clients needs first. I have come across situations where certain chefs believe they are so good that the client should actually take a backseat and listen to them or whatever they say goes. There is no question that Chefleen would be the first person I turned to for any type of private dinner/reccomendation to somebody in need of a...
