Good food. Not really set up for a restaurant but does serve as one. E.g. theres a bar style eating counter but the chairs in front of it are not high enough to comfortably use the counter. Oddly, the meat products on display for sale are not refrigerated so hopefully they're not out for long hours. Maybe theyre used to selling out quickly on a friday afternoon. It does make the idea of eating them in the moment at room temperature rather than cold more appealing... they had the most entitled pricing scheme I have seen in a long time. $12 tacos turned out to be 3 mini tacos on romaine with nothing but meat in them. Sushi is priced well above market price. The meat was good though. I asked why they are so expensive and they said because theyre kosher. Not all kosher food is priced so outrageously so maybe this is just beyond my understanding. Conclusion: good for upscale catering. Not great if you make teachers wages and are just looking for a bite. The neighborhood is not a great place to find eating...
Read moreWe had heard about Mazza and More from friends who recieved their shabbat food in Utah. The customer service is as great as the delicious food. Within minutes of me notifying Mazza of the error it was rectified. Food arrived a day earlier than expected. The hotel held it in their fridge. It was packed so well! Nothing spoiled nor spilled. Everything was still ice cold and fresh. The portions were very generous, and the quality exceeded expectations. It was fresh, well seasoned Sephardi food... Like we are accustomed. Additionally, I found the pricing very reasonable. This gives us a whole new freedom to travel...
Read moreThe only thing that was perfect was the mushroom kibbeh. The empanadas were so so and we wouldn’t order them again. The spicy carrots were inedible. They were not cooked enough and were so spicy that not even people who love spicy food could eat them. They went in the garbage. The matbucha was tasteless and had too much tomato sauce. The avocados were tasteless and we had to add lemon juice and salt. The beets were terrible and inedible. They were not ready at all. The grape leaves were so so and not ready to eat. We had to add a lot of lemon juice and cook them a bit.
