Drimmers Appliances — Local services in New York

This is my second time using Drimmer’s and I have also recommended it to a friend who had a great experience. The last appliance I bought at another store ended up with an improper install. It was a slide in range and the feet we’re not even touching the floor. The company did not stand behind their work.

In contrast, I bought a dishwasher from Isaac at Drimmer’s and noticed about six months after install that it was giving me a mild electric shock. I called Isaac and with in a few days a guy came and took my dishwasher out of the wall checked the install and deemed it OK. While they were not able to fix the problem they narrowed it down and never charged a dime. It turned out to be the wiring on my end and I was able to get my super (for the price of homemade banana bread) to fix it.

During my current renovation I had a disaster with finding a hidden gas pipe that meant I had to change the size of the wine cooler. (I had purchased the wine cooler from an online vendor and had a terrible time trying to return it... should have bought it from Drimmer’s in the first place.) By that point I was so frazzled I couldn’t even search through the available coolers online and Isaac did all the work to help me to find the perfect one. He also did all the work to find me an air-conditioner that had to fit into a specific sleeve.

Most importantly, he helped me out last minute when I realized I had ordered the wrong air-conditioner, I told him 220 and it was really 110. Despite the fact that it was the day before delivery he was able to get it halted and order the correct one and have it still delivered the next day! A true magician! And all of this happened at a great price. They really work to get you the lowest price possible and to make you happy.

I have learned my lesson and I will never buy appliances from an online company. With a local company like Drimmer’s they are more likely to want to help you because they know you will tell people about your good experience. They also have roots in the community and work actively to protect their reputation. I highly recommend this company and...

As an opening remark, I would like to say this is my first time ever writing a review. I just finished building my house (took me 16 months) and whoever went through this this process realizes the number of purchases I had to make. Throughout my construction, I heavily relied on other people reviews before making purchases and now I believe it is my time to be helpful to someone else, especially when someone truly deserves it.

I would like to write a review about a person who was extremely helpful while I was shopping for kitchen appliances. It goes without saying that the kitchen is one of the most important areas of the house (especially if it's being used often). In my case, both my mother and my wife are great cooks and I wanted to reward them with the best appliances I could buy. I did a lot of research and visited multiple stores before I walked into Drimmers in Brooklyn.

One of my friends highly recommend to see Isaac based on his prior experience with him. Isaac was very knowledgeable and explained benefits and drawbacks for multiple items I was considering (keep in mind this was a new house and I had to purchase a lot of things). However, what I liked the most about Isaac was his personality and attitude - he was extremely patient with my multiple and sometimes annoying questions :). After getting a price quote for ten of the items I was considering to purchase I left Drimmers to evaluate other alternatives and shop for better prices. I was pleasantly surprised with the way Isaac handled me leaving the store and not making a purchase, which could've been viewed as a waste of his time. However, I did come back to Isaac and purchased all of the ten items (7 Wolf items for kitchen, 1 Miele coffee machine and Electrolux washer and dryer) not only because he offered the best prices, but also because of his pleasant personality and demeanor. Lastly, he was very flexible to work with and helped to schedule delivery date to meet my requirements.

I hate writing bad reviews!! But this one did it!

I Had family get me a gift of a new washer dryer, but dryer was damaged on delivery and had to be replaced twice. Honestly they did replace it, but the whole process was a nightmare. Took a total of 3 months until they finally delivered a working one. Typically I'd be fine with that, but each time I called I was met with such disgusting tone and attitude (mind you, I always do my best to speak respectfully and calmly). But if I called to follow up (usually after a week or two of no communication or confirmations) I'd be responded to with phrases like "so what?!", "so, what you want me to do about that?!" Then He 'd Hang up the phone (which happened so many times that I don't need to exaggerate for effect), etc.

The worst part was, because they were so disgustingly dismissive, they told me they'd deliver them on 6 different dates that I had to cancel work 6 DIFFERENT TIMES (and lost a tremendous amount of income)!! and when I'd call them after waiting the 8-12hr delivery window (yup, 8 to 12 hour windows), those same horrible voices would get on the phone and say something like "oh ya, they can't come today", so dismissively and coarsely. (Of course no apology or communication earlier in the day, but I didn't expect it after 3 months of this garbage. And yes, each morning of delivery I'd call them to confirm, but ultimately be disappointed)

They wasted my time, income and patience! And the family that bought the gift felt so badly bc they heard "drimmers is amazing... Great deals...etc". And we felt badly for the family that felt badly, and round and round it went.

I would never recommend this company to anyone, even if it saves a tremendous amount of money!

PS 2 positive notes were Katisha, who was the only helpful individual I spoke with during this process, but even her kind efforts were not enough to minimize this horrid experience. And, each time the deliveries came, the delivery guys were very nice...
