Glatt Coney — Restaurant in New York

I unfortunately went to this place and I had a horrible time. When we came in and were "greeted" by a weird smell and tangerine peels by the front "counter." Took a long time for us to be seated. The staff was there just sitting and eating around. As I walked to our table, I saw a carton where they put the dirty dishes in. They were meant to put it in the kitchen to be washed. But I don't know when that was gonna happen. Anyway, it was nauseating. I saw a bunch of leftover food. I was low-key, surprise that they didn't recycle it. They messed up our order twice. The place looked putrid. First of all, there was horrible lighting and no windows and very claustrophobic. The floor was not clean and our table was dirty. The whole place was very messy. In the back there was a rabbi (who apparently was the mashgiach not sure y he was doing his job and watching them make the food) sitting by a long table with sefarim, coffee cups, and a bunch of junk. We were the table in front of the rabbi. And I saw that he was listening to our conversation and watching us, and I was super uncomfortable. The rabbi gave us a picture of water from the fridge, which we obviously get a drink because it looks horrible and 2 cups, which were not to mention that they were disposable coffee cups. The silverware was dirty, and I felt very grossed out the whole time. They tipped themselves generously without asking (it's not like they even deserve it) and charged taxes even though I paid with cash. Right before I left, I washed my hands because I felt so grossed out, and the sink wasn't working and sprayed all over me. The lady who packed up our food (as soon as we got home we threw it right out) Didn't close the container properly so it was leaking (the bag she gave us was also dirty). One time, my friend went (her first and last time) and saw a rat running out of the kitchen. I'm never going back here again. Long story short, do not go here. This place has horrible service. Horrible food, and it's...

WOW I'm speechless at the service I just experienced . I ordered food for delivery and paid via telephone for it. After an hour of still not receiving the food, I called back to inquire on its whereabouts. I was told it was on way... 30 min later, and still no delivery. I called back multiple times, each time they angrily told me it's coming and then hung up on me before i could say anything else. Finally, after multiple phone calls, the man told me he doesnt know, and that I should call his delivery guy, gave me the number for him and hung up on me again. I called the delivery guy, he said he was 15 min away. Over 15 min passed...At this point the food was ordered hours prior. I called back the restaurant, was hung up on several more times. Finally they didnt hang up, and told me the driver couldnt find our location. I called back again to be told that the driver had 'dropped the food off, but no-one was home"....

At this point, will have to call me cc company to dispute the charges.

I'm completely appalled at the atrocious service I experienced...

Absolutely furious!!!!!! The food was okay. But the service was horrendous. I stayed in this restaurant with my family and ordered some food. The food came quick and cold. But the trouble started at the end. When the women at the front counter just added a tip without my knowledge to my bill. I understand that there's an 18% gratitude. But a tip was added on top of that in my bill. When I calculated everything and notice it didn't add up I confronted her. She said that it made sense to add the tip to the bill because of the service. But I was furious that they just did whatever they wanted and charged me for it without my consent.

I would never come back here again because of this experience. I advise you to stay far away from this place. Or if you're really hooked on it just order it to go and look at...
