Merry Land Chinese Buffet — Restaurant in New York

Food was actually ok for a buffet. Just to be clear the buffet is not 7.00 it's 7.00 if you are taking your food to go in a small container. If you are dining in it will cost 13.00 per person which was still a great price for the unlimited buffet and unlimited soda. I would have given the restaurant a 4 star but there was an employee that refills your drinks while you eat which sounds great. But the thing is she cleaned up tables with the same gloves she had on since I walked in. Then she grabs other people's greasy cups and refills their soda. Then she took my cup and refilled it which I was very grateful for but I wasn't grateful getting back a dirty greasy cup and also who knows what else was stuck to those gloves since she was also clearing up tables and touching other people's used knifes and forks. So once I saw that my whole experience went out the door. My stamach started feeling nauseous and it messed up my whole lunch experience. I won't go back to this place just because of their...

This place is very unwelcoming, visited here 3 times and all 3 times the experience was regretful.

1. the is no clear set price for toddlers, on some days kids under 2 eat for free, on other days they charge you and even then the price depends on the mood of the manager
2. staff are very rude, in a passive aggressive way. They don’t say anything particularly but go out of their way to inconvenience you by pretending they are busy, can’t hear you or out right ignore you.
3. food is very mediocre at best, I advice you to go to the one on 149 street, food fast much better there. It all looks the same but sure taste different.
4. the only upside to this location is the parking, but it’s not worth it in my opinion. Food is not great and staff is even worse. Definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here with kids, they seem to get annoyed if they have to get you the high chair (which you have to get yourself, from across the dining hall most of the time) or clean...

Merry land is a Chinese food buffet. the food is good. the hidden gems are the chicken nuggets. I know your thinking chicken nuggets, really. you have to try them for yourself. also the fried potatoes are cut thick, cooked soft and lightly salted. they offer no limit sit in all you can eat for $ 9.99 or a $3.75 or $6.75 take out containers. I always over stuff my container. I always think they are going to make me pay extra, but the never do. the take out meal comes with a soda and a banana. that's right a banana. I guess they want you to eat healthy. the homemade sweet tea Is the bomb. they only take cash no cards. that goes for the guy outside that opens the door for you when you come in and out.
