Yolanda García Park — Attraction in New York

Very nice brand new park. People are already crowding into it to enjoy the space so I hesitate to put this on review up but I am please to be it’s first reviewer.

There are two playground towers with different things to play with, one with regular swings and one with the baby seat styles for younger kids; a place for stretching and strength building; toilets are in the works apparently but currently only outhouses are available (hence the one less star); and there was a fitness class of some sort also taking advantage of the small stage area. Nice grass that you better run in before all the dogs poop in it— there is one street that is ridden with dog doo doo, right around the corner so...my god kids have been dying to go to it, in fact it’s really helped relieve the overcrowding at other...

Really wonderful neighborhood park. Recently renovated and they did a great job. Even though it's a small park, they packed a lot of cool into it. It looks different from most parks aesthetically. It's very eye-catching. The bathrooms are impeccable. They have a small stage area, plenty of seating around the entire park. Green space right smack in the middle where all the kids play soccer and run around to their hearts content.

Last night was a big screen family friendly movie. The kids and adults alike were thrilled to be outside watching a movie. The movie was sponsored by Council Member Rafael Salamanca. His team distributed snacks and drinks. The Parks Department provided fresh popped popcorn!!! Fun was had by all!

The smile on everyone's face at the end of the night told...

My daughter loves this playground. Its clean and new with grass added making it feel like you left the bronx for a bit. The environment feels less quality of life location and more inviting and attractive,enticing those who wander by to come in and take a look perhaps even sit and enjoy the day. I recommend this park in its entirety to those looking to bring the kiddies out for some exercise while the parents sit close by to enjoy it as well as the weather. Please note that the invitation extends to those who want to enjoy it in a wholesome,respectful manner please refrain from bringing booze and illicit drugs to the park and set a better example to these children taking accountability and consideration for they're health and safety while they play....
