Lechonera & Pollo Sabroso — Restaurant in New York

I will Never go back !!! Today I ordered two orders of boneless chicken with rice and beans , small tostones and chicken soup $65.00! After patiently waiting 20 min just to order ... I waited another 30-40 minutes just to get my order because they messed it up . Then have the audacity to give me cold fried chicken that’s been sitting to on the side !!! The manager was rude and when i inquired why my order was so much he replied to me that I didn’t order the combo ! The gentlemen next to me ordered the same thing but received a small salad and 2 liter soda with his . The chicken , rice and beans were the same proportion so I was confused as to why mines cost more which is why I asked the manager who was serving me and took my order . Again he replied he ordered combo and I didn’t ! So I told manager just give me the soda as that was the only difference between the order other than me paying more for mines . Manager said he couldn’t because I didn’t order it that way . It’s one thing to have to wait ... then given attitude because I politely asked why so long for the order when people behind me had gotten there’s already and some ordered the same thing . The chicken was cold because they gave me an old order that was sitting on the side . Then overcharging by $8 -$10 because I was charged for the rice and beans separate because I didn’t order a combo! A almost made him wear the $65 order of food but decided noththin good would come of my actions even after I was treated so poorly , cheated out of money and when I asked for the little garlic for chicken I was told .50 !!!! The food was usually good but service poor ! I only kept going back for so many years because of the young lady there who is always so nice and pleasant to deal with . Everytime I stop in for some food she greets me with a smile and ask me where have I been if she hasn’t seen me for a while. I will make sure I stop in one last time to thank her for making it tolerable and let her know I will no longer eat...

Dos horas dure esperando por un lunch que nunca llego. Horrible service i order a lunch and 1hr later it still did not arrived so i called and the lady said it was on its way 30more minute and nothing when i called again turns out the delivery guy gave the food to some stranger god knows who. He didnt call to tell me my food was here or to come down or anything. Simply saw a man sitting infront of the building and decided to give him the food. Incredibly unprofessional, The whole time ive been waiting almost two hours for food that was never going to arrive. Ended up having to go to sleep on an empty stomach since ot was nearly 10pm and at that point no one else...

I always come to this spot like more than I should like my wallet has/is hurting.

The food is delicious, the price is decent (has increased with everything in life) but you can get right with close to 10 bucks.

Maybe I'm biased since the food and the people that work there are from my country but they are very nice and friendly.

There is a seating area but most of the customers usually pickup. Don't eat in if you are not comfortable with troves of people coming in and out.

I consider this one of the best Dominican eateries in the Bronx, every time I get food anywhere else 9/10 times I am disappointed.
