I had to write this for the love of food. The service, vibe, seating of this place was superb and if this review was solely based on that, it would be without question, 5 stars. Unfortunately, the food was severely lacking and this is my first and last time here. The horcatas were watered down and was translucent. The cup was 90% ice. I was super excited about the elote in a cup given I've never tried it despite being in the sunset park area of Brooklyn where it was widely popular. I don't like the mess of grazing corn with my teeth from a stick with mayo and cheese falling from it, I would give it a try if it were truly magical but I never did but this was different, innovative.... in a cup. How could I refuse?

It was terrible, all the water from obviously a canned product collected in the bowl and it was not grilled in the least bit. There was no thought behind that process and was at the very best.... tasteless.

The main course was one of the most disappointing of all things I've never had in food, ever in life. I ordered fried fish tacos and they were so bland....I had to actually add salt. My sister chimed in that she has never witnessed me add salt to food served in a restaurant. I am a big believer in simplistic approaches to food and I keep the salt to an absolute minimum. The breading was so ridiculously thick and inside was soggy with reminants of fish. It also tasted like sweet plantain which really threw me off. The best thing I've had here tonight is the tortilla chips with the sauces and should have ended there.

For 3 years, I've walked by this place and wondered about the food but now I no longer have to wonder. That's the best thing that came out of this experience, plus the hospitality was unmatched, friendly and very neighborhood oriented. I enjoyed seeing happy people eating but the only time I would ever find myself here again is if I were obliterated out of my mind and even then, probably not.

The steak tacos, although I didn't eat them I was told was in desperate need...

I’m not really sure why the service is getting rated so high as I recently today had a gross experience there. I wouldn’t even rate it as high as one star but there’s no option to go less. The waitress was not only incompetent but almost seemed slow. Had an attitude upon us walking in. After sitting us down took 25+ minutes to even be able to order. She was extremely slow and seemed over whelmed by less than four tables as it’s a small place. She was extremely rude, does not have basic manners. Seemed confused at a basic order and an extremely simple order of rice was forgotten. She kept coming to the table and everytime I said I’m still waiting on the rice she ignored me and kept asking my partner if he needed anything but ignoring me? It was about 5+ or upwards times I kept having to ask just for the rice I ordered? She couldn’t even me intelligent enough to bring a fork. Before she even finally brought the rice she tried taking my food away while I was still eating and said I’ll take this but I said I was eating and then after that she walked back and turned around from the table over 15 times and looked scared to take the plate when I was clearly finished? She then took an extremely long time and had to ask someone else for the check because we were waiting so long for everything in general. Probably the grossest experience I ever had somewhere in terms of service. Not sure what her name was but she definitely should be fired as everyone else there has seemed fine. Her attitude in general just grossed me out and she shouldn’t have a job anywhere if she can’t have basic manners. Definitely couldn’t leave a tip after that and unfortunately that’s the thing I’m happiest about. The food was ok at best but the service was beyond gross to the point where I’m not even sure if...

Unfortunately we were unhappy with tonight’s outing.we arrived at 7pm to eat , the place had about 6 tables outside, we sat down to eat , ordered some appetizers , main meal and some drinks. The staff looked like they were overwhelmed, but for 6 tables ? It took over 20 minutes for our appetizers to come to our table, then we waited and waited and waited for our main course to come out ,no explanation on why the long wait for tacos . We noticed their take out and delivery service was being taken card of before our table , tables that arrived after us , were finishing up their meals and we were still waiting! At 840 pm our tacos arrived, at that point I was ready to refuse our meals , but we are not like that , we scarfed down our meals , paid our bill and we left , and believe me we will not return, sad because the food...

Today I went to this restaurant. Because last time I did an online Oder. It was so delicious. Place is so beautiful. It was a Sunday night. Place is not busy. It’s clean and beautiful. Food was delicious. I didn’t get much help from lady who worked there. I wanted to know what kind of food good there. It’s okay she treat me well. I had so many beers and foods. I had hot batter calamari, soft shell tacos. Chicken, pork, beef, fish, shrimp everything is so good with there three sauces . And there is an onion pickles too. Oh my goodness you will love it. I ate them all. And I would love if they have goat meat options but they didn’t carry them. Pls guys add it your menu. Next time I’ll come with my friends.

Excellent spot. The drinks might be pricey ($12 for a margarita) but they are worth every cent. Different days have different rates (e.g. Mondays are 2 for 1 margaritas). Sauces are excellent. Warning: the restaurant door faces a very busy Victory Blvd. The tables by the door may ruin your ambience with the sounds from mean traffic and construction events.
