Hugely disappointed, because I liked the place at first! I got a large iced white mocha latte with caramel and it was good, but it was $11, which is on the expensive end. The worker asked me to try it and let him know if he needed to add anything to make it better, which I appreciated. They also don't have a restroom. I stayed there for a few hours studying. While I was studying, the worker came up to me and asked me to leave after a few hours, saying that they had a 25 minute seating limit and that I should go because people were coming in. There was no sign that mentioned the 25 minute seating limit rule. The whole time I was there, I tried to be mindful as possible. I was quiet and kept to myself, I kept looking around to see if anyone else needed seating. Most people ordered and left, and there were always other seats available the whole time. I was embarrassed and shocked when the worker said this to me. There were so many other seats, I wasn't bothering anyone, and I had gotten a drink. I do the same at other coffee shops often and have never been asked to leave, so this was a big shocker. If this incident had not happened, I would've recommended this place to everyone. NOT study-friendly.
EDIT: I was there for seven hours, NO ONE else was looking for seating, and I had thought that it'd be okay because I had already bought a drink. Other coffee shops don't mind, so I thought this one wouldn't either. Boy, was I wrong! Did the owner think I was going to leave a five-star review after he humiliated me and lied to kick me out? There were better ways in which he could have gone about the situation. I feel like my review was respectful, but the response to just yell at...
Read moreI wrote a review back when they first opened about how much I loved this spot. I am now coming back to say that you should not waste your money or time here because the owners are rude. I was such a loyal customer that came several times a week with friends and family. But the way they started treating me made me feel so unwelcome to the point that I learned how to make the beverage at home.
First it started when I was coming more than once a week, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. They don’t take pickup orders, and every time I would come in it would feel like they were annoyed that I was coming back. What really solidified this review was seeing how they treat other customers compared to me. I came in last night and there was a group in front of me and Ingrid on the counter was repeatedly telling the group in front of me, “if something is wrong or the sweetness needs to be adjusted, please let me know!” but when she takes my order and hands me the drinks, she says “here you go.” They do not provide equal treatment for all customers. I had similar experiences with Radi who is friendly with the customers in front of me, and then when it’s my turn the service becomes robotic. Listen to the others who have described the poor treatment. The drinks are good but not worth the disrespect - there are many places on Staten Island that are half the price and don’t treat you so poorly for wanting to support a small business. My previous review was likely flagged as spam by the owner so I am...
Read moreBY FAR THE BEST CAFE ON STATEN ISLAND! the service was absolutely impeccable and the staff was so kind. The atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous and I loved all of the flags and decorations. I went three days in a row because no joke this place was constantly on my mind even though it was a 20 minute drive I still wanted to make it so I could get myself something new to try each time. I’m very picky with matcha and their matcha was absolutely phenomenal. my mom is not a fan of very sweet coffee and they made her caramel latte absolutely perfect. From flavors like seven layer cookie to tiramisu to pistachio cookie butter this place does not disappoint. They even asked me if any adjustments needed to be made after taking a first sip of my drink which I think is just impeccable service on their part! I genuinely can’t say enough amazing things about this place and the only thing I wish is that they had a location on the South Shore or just more locations in...
