Michaelangelos Pizzeria — Restaurant in New York

Everytime I call, the man on the phone, Mehmet, is always kind and exudes amazing customer service. For instance, as a long time customer, I ordered a pizza on a busy Friday night and checked back to see when it would be delivered. It was an hour passed which was unlike them because I always received my orders on a timely fashion, I called and Mehmet was honest to say it wasnt in the system. It was already late, so I told him no worries, next time. I got a call back a couple of minutes later and he told me he would like to send me one free of charge. I don't know of any other pizzeria that would do that and I'm so grateful to have a local eatery that cares for their customers and does the right thing to show their appreciation. So I am leaving this review to show mine. By the way, their pizza is delicious! Always hot and fresh. If you ever want great food with the perks of friendly customer service, Michaelangelo's is the place to go!...

My issue really is about the delivery. I honestly live down the block and order here a lot in store or recently over the slice app. Now I understand I can walk my behind down the block to get my pizza however I rather pay for delivery after a certain time for my own mental health. But it seems to be an issue for the driver to get out his car to deliver the pizza to my door? And that honestly is so strange to me because in the past everything was delivered directly to my door. I also automatically tip the driver to deliver but instead I’m walking half way down the block to get my order so what’s the point of automatically tipping the driver?

This is the second time this has happened to me in the past week or so. So now I’ll think twice about ordering here again. Thanks so much.

Very unlikely to ever order from again. Zippos were greasy and barely had powdered sugar. Ordered 2 slices at 3:30pm and asked if I could grab the soda that goes with the 2Slice lunch special. The woman at the register aggressively answered Angry enough for the other men working in store to stop and stare me down. "I ASKED YOU IF YOU WANTED ANYTHING ELSE!! SODA IS $0.50 MORE" I just asked because it said outside 2Slice lunch special and free can soda or water. I wasn't going to go back and forth over a soda but for the cashier to be instantly raged by a question politely asked. Then to see the worst Zippo ever. Greasy and barely any sugar. Won't return or...
