Stop & Shop — Local services in New York

I gave Stop & Shop 4 stars only due to lately is they changed the store around. Stop & Shop gave itself a makeover a few months back, and in my personal opinion, I am not a fan of what they did to the store. I find it didn't really make things easier to find anything. Nor to me is it organized. I find it less organized because everything that once had a lot easier place doesn't. Otherwise I've been shopping here for years. The staff at times can be very helpful and patient. Other times, I feel like I've been blown off or they are just lazy. Check out is always a plus easy and fast for me. Always get my sales, store bonuses, and coupons. Their app is very useful and I use it any time I plan my shopping trip. I've never done a mobile order or curbside pick because I feel it takes me longer to do my food shopping online than it does in the store. Lol 😆 🤣. Plus, with all the extra add-on fees, it's like you're spending even more online than in the store. The one thing I do love about shopping here is the rewards points which you can put towards gas, your next order or something else. Okay so they are obviously going through yet another renovation; the floors looked factory-like and the aisles are in a state of confused transition for instance I'm not sure why dog food and cleaning products are sharing the same aisle and all the way in the far corner to boot. The water aisle was bare of any gallons. Their produce section had a very sad selection of hairy strawberries. The week before I purchased country ribs that had obviously turned and had to be tossed. The prices were being switched over while I was shopping so it was hard to keep track of my total. While I love their sales and selection on organics I just need this place to start making sense again!! Because of their reno-while- -remaining-open, I'm gonna give this place one more try. • have to do a update on my review* Since my review the store manager did reach out and informed me they welcomed my feedback on how to improve. Fast forward to now June 2023- they have more products and they started selling more healthier choices. They have changed the aesthetic of the store and some of the new people being hired are friendly.

Unfortunately Staten Island does not have a decent supermarket with great selection of produce and this stop & shop It’s not the best place to go shopping, BUT in an emergency you can find anything you need here.

Only advice would be to go in person their delivery and pick up service is not great, and their employees tend to give you the old, almost expired or expired produce.

I order online two times and both times the veggies had mold and the milk was curdle.
