[Attitude of Service]
Today, I visited this restaurant for dinner before heading to Colden Ctr. At Queens College for a show. We thought of going here because this is convenience since it is just two blocks away. We encountered to be “served” by a waiter who first grab the plate from my wife without speaking a word. My wife’s chopsticks was still on the plate surfing through the vegetable. When we pay, we carefully calculated the tip and gather enough cash to the booklet, the same waiter closed the booklet and clipped onto the fingers of my wife. I express my complain to him and he spoke nothing or even looked at me, but rushed to take the check to the cashier. I was really angry with the attitude but my wife seems to have more patient to spare to calm my emotion. However, another waiter bring back the booklet and showed us some change with the check inside the booklet. He told us that we have not paid enough. We told him that these are the change we left as tip. This time he apologize to us, but that was not enough to redeem our anger already. I really want to take back the tip and storm out the restaurant.
[Food Quality] We ordered roast pork and soy sauce chicken, some typical Cantonese food. The taste of the roast pork is okay, and it will be better if they can balance out their dish with the leanness of the meat. The soy sauce chicken is little bit too raw but the taste is good.
[Price] Compared to other Cantonese Restaurant in Downtown Flushing, NYC Chinatown, and even Bensonhurst Brooklyn, the price of this restaurant is 5-10% higher than others.
[Conclusion] I really don’t appreciate the service, I am not going back if I have other choice even with my strong craving of...
Read moreThe food is great and very traditional Cantonese. However, their service is TERRIBLE. There are 2 incidents where, I ordered delivery and they got my orders wrong. I ordered the fish with Tofu over rice one time and they forgot about the Tofu. I called and they said they would make a new one for me. I went back and checked it to make sure it was right. Then, when I went home, I ate it and it didn't taste like it usually does. It almost tasted like bleach. The second incident where I ordered two over rice dishes with brined eggs. The menu said it's 2 for $1.5. So I expected that it was $1.5. But the bill turned out to be $5.5 and they were 6 of them. I called them and said that I didn't expect they would give me so many as I only wanted two. They blamed me for not clarifying the amount of eggs I wanted, so they wouldn't take them back and refund me. Honestly, I am so fed up with this place that I will never come back here. First, they put something in my food that made it taste like bleach. Second, they blame customers for not clarifying their orders. Isn't the person who takes orders supposed to be responsible for that? And if you have problems with the bill, make sure you tell them before you pay them because they won't even reason with you after they...
Read moreI love salt and pepper pork chop and I have tried this dish at just about all Chinese restaurants in flushing. Today while driving by, I decided to try thisbplace.
Ordered salt and pepper pork chop for take out with white rice.
The porkchop was severely overcooked and dry! Also the oil used to cook was not fresh frying oil. There is a strong bad scent from using the overused frying oil on the pork chop.
Pork chops are very dark in color, hard and stiff and burnt !! Super hard to chew and swallow.. Found out when at home. Too late and too far drive back.
With quality like this, I doubt I will go back again and try other dishes.
I threw out just about the entire take out box of salt n pepper pork chop.
I must say going to heart of Flushing (main st area ) is much better. I guess the competitions at main st raises the quality of all restaurants there . With this restaurant so far away from downtown flushing, I feel they don't hold the same high standard in their cooking and ingredients. They not worry about competitions, thus the substandard food I received today.
Very...
