R & D Tattooing — Local services in New York

The one star rating reflects only SHANNON who is employed here. Unfortunately I never got a chance to come to this shop because Shannon scammed me out of a deposit left with her at a previous shop. My emails and phone calls to her went unanswered for over 3 months! I’d finally get an email response from her and then she’d dodge me and never confirm a time or date for the appointment I was trying to make. Not sure why she doesn’t have a desire for work, especially when I’ve tipped her extremely generously at prior sessions? She seemed like a nice enough girl, but this is unprofessional, shameful, and frankly shady. Think twice if you’re considering having Shannon tattoo you. You can’t take a client’s money, ignore them for months, and then expect them to still trust you to finish the piece only AFTER you finally responded to me because I kept leaving messages for you at the shop with the (owner? boss?). Why would anyone want to continue to get tattooed by an artist they have to hound for months on end to get a hold of? You’ve failed to provide services to me with the deposit left. R&D Tattoo and the Artists themselves are the realest and nicest guys around. If you live in the area--you already know its the ONLY place to go, if you don't live around here I would suggest you check any of the guys out if you want Quality, beautiful pieces of art that you will most certainly be happy with. The best part is that they are straight shooters, with the knowledge of what works and what does not (like most hand tattoos). Came here to have one of my tattoos fixed up and finished by Richie. I originally had the work done at another shop but they butchered it. So I came to R&D to have it redone and it was the best move I ever made! I should have came here from the start.

My tattoo is on the right side of my ribs... not the best area to get tattooed btw. But Richie made sure that I was comfortable and was willing to stop whenever I needed a break.

As soon as you walk in you feel welcome and at home. EVERYONE here is professional and want the best for their clients. I recommend this shop to anyone who is looking to get ink done and I will be coming back...
