I first order from this place on January 31 and again on February 14th. On January 31, I only ordered pizzas which was tasty and received no complaints from anyone except they mixed the chicken and sausage sides which did cause minor issues, but was solved quickly. On February 14, I ordered pastas with add ons along with pizza and rolls. The spinach roll was bitter and doesn’t taste like spinach (we suspect that it is either other veggies mixed in or the selected spinach was going bad). The pastas with the add ons didn’t arrive with the add ons, but I was able to request a refund for the add ons easily.
Both times I have ordered desserts; tres leches, tiramisu, and key lime cheesecake.
The items that I will re-order again from this place will be the pizzas and the desserts, since the rolls and pastas was questionable.
First time was pick up, second time was delivery. It’s kinda annoying to leave a delivery note when there’s a character limit. Even with the character limit, I was able to type out the location of the doorbell and where I would like my order to be left in/on. The courier didn’t follow through. If I wasn’t near the door, I wouldn’t have heard the knocking at all. I felt so bad that they had to wait a while before I noticed. I tipped them on the website, but from the way they were just standing there, I read enough Reddit stories and have friends who do delivery jobs to know that 1. The delivery app stole the tip or 2. The restaurant themselves stole the tip from the courier or it could be something else entirely (ie. miscommunication/misunderstandings between languages, asking for cash tips, etc).
From the delivery experience when they give you xx time to xx time, they will deliver at the latest time, not the earliest. From the pick up experience, I got no notification of when it’s ready to be picked up, just that it’s ready in xx minutes at xx time. But, it was immediately ready by the time I have arrived to pick it up slightly before the set pick up ready time.
To end this review, I believe the pricing is reasonable for certain items on the menu. I would order any type of pizza and...
Read morePatrizia's Taverna is a brunch of Patrizia's restaurants. They serve a great variety of Italian cuisine, especially I love their pizza. We went there for a nice quiet dinner with my friend. Lovely interior, very airy atmosphere, charming decorations. They have bar and dining area nicely separated. And the high ceiling provides that enjoyable space. Outside was stuff but inside the air was cool and comfortable. Let me mention the thing I don’t like and do not appreciate. The supervision of the servers were too much. Every several minutes they were asked if everything ok, did we finished, do we need anything else… every server who was passing our table was asking us those questions. It is definitely great that they care but maybe it should be little less pushery. Give customers some privacy and the service still will be great. Beet salad was great, thin layers of well cooked beet, crunchy sugary-glazed roasted walnuts, creamy feta and delicious dressing on the top of fresh arugula made it really enjoyable. For main course we had pasta Fiorette and Linguine with seafood. Fiorette were pretty handmade raviolis filled with silky delicious ricotta with rich mushroom sauce and grind Parmesan on the side. I recommend lavishly sprinkle it with cheese to boost the flavour. For my taste it was lacking a bit of sauce but overall a lovely choice. Linguine was a star dish. Dispute that calamari were slightly robbery the pasta was well balanced with flavours; clams and mussels were well cleaned with just few pieces of sand noted and a right amount of great red sauce. Considering I was in couple Patrizia's restaurants and I can confidently state you will not regret...
Read moreThe whole experience was above and beyond! From the minute I walked in it didn’t disappoint. The decor is beautiful. Light, airy and modern. The bar area is spacious, with a good amount of seating making it perfect to enjoy specialty cocktails, bar menu and conversation without feeling cramped. I went with a group of 10 and was fortunate enough to be able to taste a lot of items on and off the menu. The.food.was.incredible!! Charred octopus w/ hummus, zucchini fritters (my fave🤍), fried calamari and specialty pizza were full of flavor. Next, we had fresh homemade fioretti pasta with mushrooms in a crème sauce with a hint of truffle. Heavenly. For entrees we had the lamb chops and porterhouse steak (off menu) with sides of broccoli rabe and lemon fingerling potatoes. The chops and steaks were perfectly prepared (med rare for our group). Like butter. Excellent. The desserts were off the charts and couldn’t have ended this exquisite meal any better. We had a sampling of most items. All were delicious. I HIGHLY recommend the “baby” zeppole bites lightly drizzled with chocolate w/ whipped cream on side. They have a nice, soft, yet crisp, bite. Mouthwatering. Overall, the drinks, the food, the service and friendliness of staff were spot on. I couldn’t have had a better dining experience, especially from an establishment that just recently opened. Usually I wait awhile until the “kinks” are ironed out. Not here. All of it was wonderful. I can’t...
