This place was a major disappointment. I had a couple people tell me about it, so I was in the area and decided to give it a shot, and I'm sorry I did. First of all, the pizza all around was really nothing special, I'd say the pizza itself was maybe 2.5 stars max, it was pretty bland. It was nothing extraordinary at all and I've had way better in many other establishments. What was worse than the pizza was the service. There wasn't even a single Italian in there, I should have left the second I saw two Hispanic guys behind the counter, they do not know how to make good pizza. Worst part was, they barely knew any English, and I'm not exaggerating. I had one simple order, two plain slices well done, that's it. It's really not complicated. I had to repeat it three times, and I am not soft spoken, I speak loud and clear. Then the guy puts the pizza in the box straight from the showcase and hands it to me...did I not just say well done three times to you??? I told him again, I said well done, and he simply responded, "It's hot." It's hot??? What in the world does the temperature have to do with it being well done? At that point I just gave up and paid and got out of there. I don't go to an establishment to teach migrants how to speak simple English. If you work in a pizzeria and you can't understand something as simple as "two plain slices well done", you're not equipped to be dealing with the public here in the US in any capacity. You have one job, yet you don't possess the necessary communication skills to perform its most basic functions. Shame...

Walking into Patsy’s Pizzeria feels like stepping into a time capsule of classic New York charm. With its vintage black-and-white photos lining the walls and the scent of coal-fired pizza wafting through the air, Patsy’s isn’t just a pizzeria—it’s an experience.
The pizza? Pure perfection. The crust strikes that elusive balance between crispy and chewy, with just the right char from the coal oven. Each bite carries a whisper of smokiness that only a true New York institution could deliver. The Margherita is a must-try—fresh mozzarella, vibrant tomato sauce, and fragrant basil laid atop a crust that could make you weep with joy. Simplicity done flawlessly.
But it’s not just the pizza. The atmosphere hums with a casual, welcoming energy, whether you’re a local grabbing a quick slice or a tourist on a pizza pilgrimage. The staff is friendly, efficient, and passionate about the pies they serve. There’s something magical about the way Patsy’s bridges generations—older patrons reminiscing about decades past, and younger ones creating their own memories.
If you’re a fan of pizza (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?), skipping Patsy’s would be like skipping the Statue of Liberty. It’s not just about the food—it’s about history, culture, and a love letter to the art of pizza-making. Patsy’s Pizzeria isn’t just a meal—it’s a slice of New York itself.
Five stars....
Read moreWhile celebrating a birthday, my family and I visited this establishment last week. The restaurant allowed us to decorate the wall and the tables to make our dinner more festive. We ordered drinks, appetizers, pizzas, and main entrees. For drinks, we ordered a bottle of wine and some mojitos. I would definitely recommend the mojito. For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari and the caprese salad. The calamari was fresh and fried in a way that its crispiness was definitely enjoyable. We enjoyed the fresh mozzarella from the caprese salad with the house bread they gave. We ordered a plain pie and 1 specialty pie, the Patsy’s Pizzeria Special. I enjoyed the plain slice but I confess I ate two slices of the Patsy’s Special. The pepperoni really made the difference. For entrees, we ordered the penne vodka with chicken, the chicken parm, the shrimp francese, and the chicken marsala. Everything arrived in a plentiful quantity and with delicious flavors.
Overall, the family and I had a great time during our celebratory dinner. The server was very helpful and friendly but what we most liked is that she was attentive. She approached our table multiple times, asking us “how is everything” or “would you like anything else”. The prices can be a bit costly especially for the specialty pie but since it’s not an everyday cost, it was worth it.
& yes, we will be visiting this establishment...
