I would love to report an incident that took place on 02/08/2022. My husband and, I were in the produce area when one of my gold earrings came out of my ear and, fell into the the refridgeatored area where the vegetables were. I thought Iheard it hit the floor but, when my husnand and, I looked for it but, we weren't able to find it. I refused to leave without it because it was a gift from my parents who have passed over thirty years ago. We couldn't find it because it wasn't on the floor.under any An Aldi employee by the name of Justin who seemed to a somewhat new employee, saw that my husband and, I (who happen to be senior citizens, on our knees lookings for something under the refrigeratored area), asked us what was going on. We told him what was up and, that we would we would clean up any mess that we had made but, I wasn't leaving without my eariing and so, we continued to search for it. Shortly after that, another Aldi employee by the name of Missy. She ask us was going and, we told her. then, she along with Justin, removed some shelves in the area where we were looking, and, THERE WAS MY CAPITAL GOLDEN BEAUTIFUL GIFT THAT WAS GIVEN AS A GRADUATION PRESENT BACK IN THE DAY FROM MY PARENTS and, I found my other earring. They both should be rewarded in some kind of way. They were both very helpful, respectable and, help my husband and, I find my precious gold earing. They both deserve to be rewarded for their help. I told them that I would help them both if I was able because the both should received help for being so helpful to me. These two deserve raises and, promotions. They helped two disabled seniors citizens who happened to be on their knees at Aldi's and, we thank both of them from the bottom of our herats. Ali's on the second floor at 117th street and, FDR Drive and, their names again are Missy and, Justin.
Promote them and, give them both the RAISE !!! They both...
Read morePrices are way way up but the big event here was getting physically threatened by Angela, the cashier at register No. 1 on March 11 (with the big drawn-on eyebrows) near the door today, who shouted at me that "if I got you outside, what I would do to you." Really? A gentleman behind me seemed to misunderstand that he was supposed to wait until called. Unloaded his stuff super-close, before I was even being rung up, standing so close -- with about 6 inches between me and him-- that when I turned I knocked over a container of milk in his hand. Yes, I asked him to back up, especially in these times of Covid. Which he did. The cashier now invents that she called him up, and I did call her out on that. No, she did not. And who is the witness? Me, who was standing right there. She resented me calling her on the outright lie and ran my groceries over to the door area where I could collect them. Now yanked her mask off, shouted she'd like to do me physical harm (as above), shouting that I was white ( yo soy puertorriqueño) and thought I was better than all of them etc. Literally threw a box at me I'd left in her cart since she'd run the cart now containing my actual groceries over by the door. And why did she try to turn it into a racial incident.? Yeah I asked her to hurry with my receipt because she was clearly off her rocker and I wanted to get out of there ASAP.
But on what planet is...
Read moreIt's Aldi. It's exactly what you expect. Customers making a mess like it's a hobby. While the store staff try to keep the store stocked and organized. I Have to give the staff credit. I worked in retail for 20 years. Customers have the most audacity out of any creature on this planet. Placing frozen and refrigerated items on any shelf because they changed their mind about buying it. To anybody reading this review, consider your actions when shopping. If you have a problem with Aldi other than the quality of their produce. You are most likely part of the problem. Let's pretend that we have some home training, consideration and understanding of actions and consequences. Example: you leave the ice cream that you thought you wanted on the shelf next to the diapers. A couple things can happen 1. It melts and Aldi takes the loss, prices increases due to this. Now you're paying higher prices or the staff is understaffed. 2. A considerate shopper puts it back in the freezer not realizing it has gone bad and is now filled with bacteria. Someone buys and consumes it. They get ill and sue Aldi. Aldi closes to cover the cost of the lawsuit. Now your low cost grocery store is no more. You are now forced to shop at whole foods where you can only afford bread, 4 apples and a gallon of water before spending your monthly food budget. Get it together, quit...
