Pizza Italia is a hidden gem for amazing pizza at a great price in the Bronx close to the Bronx Zoo. We found this place after a long day at the zoo. They have $1.50 slices and $11 large pies so you can not go wrong either way.
Only a couple tables inside but there is a park 100 feet away so you can sit there as well. The owner and staff are super friendly. The place is constantly busy but most everyone grabs their slice and then they leave.
We ordered a large pie and while we were waiting for only 8 minutes a minimum of 5 different people came in and commented to the owner that this is their favorite pizza!

It is a smaller pizza shop with very limited seating available, it appears most people order take out here. We were fortunate enough to have a table open up while we were waiting. They do not accept credit so make sure you have cash, there is an atm located in the business next door.

I called the restaurant and the owner was nasty and said the delivery guy took the food. I had the delivery guy here with me and he heard the owner saying he took the food. He tried telling the owner what the store gave him and he didn’t want to hear it .
