My experience was not the best, I remember that I have always seen this place plus my grandmother lives one block from here, until I decided to go, I have never known how it is to be in these places because I never visit these public places, but the situation was this my brother came from north carolina with my nephew but we decided to go a day before they leave, my nephew wanted to go to the beach but as his visit was so short it was not to go out or go to the beach or pool, I told him let's take the child to this or pool, well.... the situation is that when we arrived it was 6:11 pm there was no one in the front my brother entered from the men's side with the child I was waiting for someone to come to the front then he told me to enter from the women's side, I see a lady in a light blue shirt and I tell her that I am not going to bathe just that we want my 6 year old nephew to bathe I at the time had my phone in my purse but she was nice plus she was busy cleaning and told me to tell the other lady in blue if I could enter. As I said I have never visited these public places and have no knowledge of the restrictions then I was inside I took out my phone and called my brother I told him where I was, I saw two policemen and one told me a little rude that I could not use the phone in side, I cut my brother off, I did not say anything to the policeman until later a lady in a dark green shirt told me that I am not supposed to use the phone I can not enter I can not do anything like that but she was very very rude I did not get to answer her either then another lady in blue finally saw me and I saw her , she also told me the same thing, that I can't come in without a bathing suit that I can't use the phone that I have to put it in a lacker that they are going to close soon that everyone has to follow the rules and other things she was very rude too, I explained that it was for my nephew and she told me that I can't be there if I am not going to bathe that I can't just come in and watch the child that brings problems and I kept quiet and said ok! ... remember only the first lady was nice to me and explained a little bit. I leave the place because with all that imagine, and I see a young man with the same blue t-shirt, my brother told me that he was kind and that he told him things and that he was sorry that he could not enter the child because of the rules and also that we did not bring a lock to keep things we had never been in these places. Well my brother, before leaving the lady with the green t-shirt was very rude and very rude to the lady who tried to help me at the beginning, she spoke to her very badly just for the fact that she let me in. I understand that these places are very strict because they are public places, but they have to have better communication they are people with very bad customer service I could be bad but that does not justify that they speak badly to people who have never visited these places and also speak to the staff without professionalism, the city pays them but it is not for them to treat everyone badly and if you are tired of that job and if you do not like your job there is the simplest option leave and give space to someone who can do it in the right way. My experience was 8/4/2025 I do not recommend going to this place if I could I would not give it...
Read moreI like this pool a lot it’s convenient and close to where I live.. The staff is wonderful from the park workers to the Higer up Park workers with the badges and the supivisor as well..The male and female that take care of the pool maintenance are always making sure that the chlorine is high so it can kill all the pee that people put into the pool cause they don’t ask their kids if they need to pee only a few go to the bathroom room so 🙌🏻 And a 👍🏻 For those parents that teach their kids from little Also I love the fact that they feed the kids their cause their are a lot of kids that are their with their little siblings while their parents work and some don’t have the funds..What I don’t like is the older crowd second session dunking girls and their buddies don’t care who else is in the pool it says no running and they still run I hate hate when someone runs and jumps in right where u at cause your going to get splashed.. I also don’t like the fact that their not allowing u to bring your phones in but their telling u to leave it in the lockers where their is no cameras neither when someone can break your lock box and steal from you but so far so good I have a good lock....Also I don’t like the fact that when u ask the lfequards a question they have attitudes this comment is for the female ones but besides that everything is...
Read moreToday August 7, 2018 I Took My 3 Girls (Daughter, Step-Daughter & Sister) To Mapes’ Pool Evening Session. We Had A Great Time. The Pool Staff Makes Sure To Check For Locks & Swimming Attire (Both Are Mandatory). They Serve Lunch After 5:30pm In A Small Eating Area (Isn’t That Big For The Amount Of People Attending The Pool Session) But It Works Because The Water Tends To Work Up An Appetite. They Have 2 Different Pools. A 3ft 6in For Big Kids & A 1ft For Smaller Kids. The Small Pool Fills Up Quickly & There’s A Limit To How Many Kids Can Get In Because There’s Only 1 Lifeguard There Alongside A Parks Dpt. Staff Member. At The Big Pool Kids Don’t Follow The Rules Of No Running & No Diving So Be Careful With Ya Smaller Children. All But 1 Of My Girls Were Fully Able To Enjoy The Bigger Pool Due To Size. So They Complained A Lot About The Jumping & Splashing Going On Around Them. Which Scared Me A Bit As Well Because They’re Only Aged 5 & 6 And They’re Small. Oh & Try To Leave Before The Whistle Is Blown Because The Locker Rooms Get Really Crowded. Overall Me & The Girls...
