My recent experience at Popeyes on Utica Ave was beyond disappointingâit was infuriating and unhygienic. I ordered a 12-piece chicken tender meal, expecting nothing more than food handled with basic care and respect for the customer. Instead, I witnessed an appalling lack of professionalism and disregard for cleanliness. As my order was being packed, the employee, Anthony, dropped one of my tenders directly onto the dirty, high-traffic counter. I could not believe what I saw next: instead of discarding it, he actually placed the contaminated tender into my box as though I wouldnât notice. This wasnât a slight misstepâit was an outright failure to maintain even the most basic standards of hygiene. When I called Anthony out on this, he initially ignored me. It was only after I persisted that he reluctantly brought it to the managerâs attention. Thankfully, the manager instructed him to remake my order, as any decent establishment would. But then, as Anthony began preparing a replacement, he realized they didnât have enough spicy tenders. I assured him that I was willing to wait for a fresh batch. At this point, things took an even more disrespectful turn. The manager came storming out from the back and had the audacity to call me âdifficultâ for refusing to accept food that had been dropped on a contaminated counter. I was simply advocating for myself and my right to clean, properly prepared food. Yet, instead of receiving an apology or any courtesy, I was accused of being unreasonable. Let me be clear: I spent my hard-earned money to purchase my food, and I will not be bullied into accepting unsanitary food, nor will I be shamed for standing up for my basic rights as a customer. This experience was unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright unacceptable. Popeyes should be embarrassed to have a location with such poor standards of hygiene and customer service. I urge corporate to investigate this incident and seriously address the lack of respect and care at this location. This is not what customers deserve, and I, for one, will think long and hard before...
   Read moreThe employee Farzana and the Manager were sooo RUDE! Never again will I go there. They both need to be retrained on customer service as well as Retrained on Food Safety. The employee Farzana told me after I had waited nearly 10 minutes for my food that there was no Mac and cheese. The manager then stated that it would take 1 hour to made and be ready because it was frozen. Why sell me mac and cheese if there is none. Its not like it was before closing it was only 5pm!!!! As a cashier and server you should know what is available and what is not! They were not changing their gloves after touching money, and food which is a food safety violation. The manager refused to give me his name so I took his picture. The line was out the door. And they were moving as slow as molasses. And to top it allll off when i got home my order was WRONG!    Read moreWent in there for the first time in a while when the lady at the register taking someone's order starts coughing in her hand so I watched to make sure she a doesn't make my food and also before she starts making anyone else food she washes her hands so when she turns around and starts making someone's drink I tell her wash your hands cuz she was just coughing in them she looks at me like I'm crazy then continues on so I said it louder you should wash your hands since you were coughing when you was at the register again with a funny look then when I came back and took a picture then she said oh wash your hands oh I didn't understand but now she understands all of a sudden after I take her picture and one of the guys back there is like well she made a mistake I said and she still didn't correct it when I told her to...
