Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

I'll start off by saying that I have a speech impediment. They treated me like I was very slow and basically played in my face when I complained about what they did. Last month, I went out to study for finals and was going to sit in the attached Dunkin' but they said they'd be closing in 30 minutes so I went to Popeyes instead. I bought food just so I could sit in there and when I was placing the order the lady kept making faces and saying "huh". I have a stutter but there were times I'd repeat myself very loudly and clearly and she'd still make faces. I sat down to work and was waiting for them to call up my food. I didn't watch that lady put everything in the box but when I opened it there were maybe 5 fries in the bag and I figured the rest was with the tenders so I took the bag out and there were very little in the bottom and the 3 "tenders" could all fit into someones palm laying flat; very very small. I went up to say she didn't put much in there and she started hm-ing and huh-ing again and brushed me off saying and I quote "yes those are chicken tenders". I had to repeat myself many a time because EVEN WHEN I SPOKE CLEARLY she made faces and basically pretended she did not know what I was saying. She then said they were normal sized like I've never seen food or been to Popeyes in my life and threw another quarter-tender in the box and laughed with her coworker. Eventually I just said I wanted a refund and I wasn't really feeling hungry anymore. The manager tried to strong arm me into accepting a bag with I KID YOU NOT 6 MORE FRIES IN IT AND CLAIMED IT WAS 3 OUNCES. The way him and his staff spoke not me like they were scolding a small child was very dehumanizing. He then gave me SOME money back which was less than what it cost me to buy the box because "well you ate the fries and they're $4 so if you want the money back this is it". When I told him that I had a speech impediment and that I was not slow because he was being condescending, he looked at me like I was speaking in tongues. When you truly have nothing better to do with your time and you're not a good person, you condescend and treat people like they are beneath you because of a perceived weakness. Do not eat here. I THREW UP MY WHOLE ORDER A WASTE OF $34.00 dollars to a Sketchy location with Middle Eastern and Puerto Rican Santa Maria descendants whom most LIKELY read your name AND Arrange these orders based upon how they see you on social media or any other individuals who want to do something to you I really hate that I went to the store tonight it was a Sunday night and I really didn’t have anything to eat I didn’t think I was going to be a target at somewhere so close to home! I got the chicken sandwich combo meal, which comes with a side and a drink. For my side, I got Popeyes cajun fries – some of the best fast food french fries out there – and for my drink, I got an unsweetened tea.

This was my first time trying Popeyes chicken sandwich, and I haven’t actually had much else on the menu either. I ordered the combo meal and took it home to enjoy.

The chicken sandwich comes wrapped, and the fries came in a second paper bag within my larger bag. None of the bags were greasy, which is always a plus when it comes to fast food!

The chicken sandwich looks great – it comes with a pretty large piece of chicken, so you’re definitely getting a filling meal. The breading looked nice and crunchy, and it smelled delicious.

The chicken was juicy and flavorful without being too greasy. The breading gives it a great flavor and crunch, and I was impressed with the quality of the chicken itself. The chicken didn’t look or taste like a mass produced, uniform chicken patty like fast food often does.
