Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

I’ve been living in this area for a year, and this is the 4th time I’ve given this Popeyes a chance. Unfortunately, I think it will also be the last.

Every time I’ve ordered here, the chicken has been overly hot, stiff, and almost burnt. The food feels like it’s been sitting out too long, poorly packed, and served without care. For a chain as large as Popeyes, this location does not meet the standard at all. I’ve eaten at other Popeyes restaurants and had good experiences, but here the food quality, service, and flavor are all lacking.

The service is terrible—items are often missing from the order, and when I once went back to make a claim, the staff treated me as if I were just asking for free food. That’s unacceptable. Customers not only pay with money, but also with time, and going back to fix mistakes should not feel like a burden.

This restaurant has the equipment and facilities to provide better service, but it’s clearly not being managed well. The pictures they have posted on their Google profile do not reflect the reality of the food or service here.

I really wanted to give this place a chance since it’s just one block away from me, but unless major improvements are made, I cannot recommend it. Honestly, they either need to raise their standards ...

This place was FILTHY. When I mean FILThY I mean FILTHY. They had food on literally every table from what looks like hours prior and all over the floor to the point where if I’d actually wanted to dine in it would be impossible and the cashier whom I assume was the manager as well had a terrible attitude due to misunderstanding my order and then giving me the wrong food. They were rude to even the Uber eats worker because he asked for an extra bag for the drink that came with his order to ensure that it didn’t spilled. Like he actually got loud with the guy and he still smiled through it. This is bad business Popeyes and I don’t even write reviews but I’m writing one today because I feel it’s very much needed. I hope a district manager sees this or someone above the actual workers there and does something about the way this place is run. This is my experience at the WPR location in the Bronx. When they get your order right and the chicken is fresh Popeyes chicken delivers. Unfortunately more times then not they adjust the order without communicating with the customer. I prefer spicy chicken which is what I always order then to my disappointment they send mild because they are often out of spicy. Hint if the demand for spicy is higher then why not be prepared for customer demand? 🤷🏽‍♀️I must warn you: Buyer Beware! The new Chicken Wraps are a total ripoff!
