This used to be one of my favorite Indian restaurants on Long Island, they consistently had clean, delicious Punjabi dishes, and the prices were very reasonable, if anything, it was much much cheaper. But over time, it seems like their quality of food and customer service has gotten worse to the point where I don't even want to go. There is only one waiter, maybe 2 if you are lucky, looking after all the tables in the restaurant, so it takes forever for the poor guy to take your order and it takes even longer for them to serve the food. Speaking of the food, its quality has deteriorated, once in a while, I even see a few hairs in the dishes, the paneer dishes are not very good. They also have been consistently hiking their prices (and this is pre-covid), and the quantity in takeouts has decreased. Speaking of customer service, while the waiter is polite, there is this lady who is incredibly rude. After waiting over 30 mins for our order, I went and asked this lady about our order, and she snapped at me and told me that they have many orders to fulfill and that I would have to wait, even though there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant, and it was about half an hour from closing time, so it seemed quite fishy to hear that there were...
Read moreI asked for 3 orders of Aloo Tikki, the price is $1.50 on the menu for two pieces of Tikki, total of 6 pieces for $4.50. They tried to charge me $1.50 per piece for a total of $6. I asked them how many pieces of Tikki in the order and she said 6. So, then I asked for a menu to show her what the price should be, she then relented and said $4.50 for the 6 pieces. It was a take out order, when I got home, I only found 3 pieces of Tikki. They took out the other 3 pieces from the order without saying anything. If they want to charge $1.50 per piece then they need to put that on the menu. This was pretty deceptive in what they were doing, it seems they don't want my business or cared to explain why they were charging double the price. I think they don't want Guyanese buying at their store and seem to think we are stupid for wanting to pay the menu prices. I think they must be regularly cheating Guyanese customers on their orders. If you order take out, please check everything before leaving and don't assume that the price given is correct, they may be overcharging you and you...
Read moreI was so disappointed today, I always get food from Punjabi Dhaba despite getting bad attitude from the woman at the front. However today was the height, my friends and I went to have lunch, first the food smelled very bad and we suspected the oil was spoiled. We carefully asked for another plate of food, then after eating it mostly through we found not one but two hair in the food. We thought to complain and ask them about it. On top of getting rotten food the woman's only explanation was that perhaps the food had fallen. So do they think they can feed us food that fell on the floor? On top of all this the women at the front gave us attitude and said we should do what we want and call whoever we want. I was so shocked at their unhygienic conditions and their rude staff. Never again am I gonna...
