Tulsi Mandir — Attraction in New York

To any future brides or groom please consider this if you’re thinking of this mandir !!!

My fiancé and I had our engagement at this mandir two years ago and decided to have our wedding this year. We went in and gave $1,000 deposit to hold our date. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, we had to postpone. We spoke to the priest and he assured us that it wouldn’t be a problem to reschedule for next year,2021.

I tried multiple times to call and text and never got an answer from anyone. Finally I got in touch with the pandit and he once again assured me I would get first pick. He told me I wasn’t able to come in and get a new date and would have to wait until the mandir opens up to set a new date. Again, I tried multiple times to get in touch with him and we spoke on the phone about the new date, which he assured me would be fine. I went to my vendors and hall and tried to work the new dates with everyone.

Finally I went to the mandir on a Sunday to reassure that everything was set, when the pandit decided to tell me that the date wasn’t available, he had another couple waiting on that date. He proceeded to let me know once he’s heard back from them he would let me know and try to work it out. Of course, I got stressed (everyone knows how stressful planning a wedding is) He tried calling the new couple to see if they were set on the date and they never answered. He told me to wait and of course I haven’t heard back from him ! Frustrating!! I waited 2-3 weeks and nothing !

He then tells me we can have to both weddings !! And i can use the other couples decorations which made me even more angry !!

We never had a contract and we gave him a check for $1,000.00 and asked for it because he wasn’t working with us and we had already paid for everywhere else to work with our new date. We wanted another vendor that had the date available for us. Of course that was a problem !! The thing I don’t understand is that the other couple didn’t leave a deposit for the date, we did and he assured us we would have first pick, which was a LIE !

He refuses to give us back our money and haven’t contact us yet to this date ! I asked my filter FIL to call the pundit and ask for our money back, he then decided it was okay to call my future father in law a criminal !!!

Honestly, I hope no one ever has to go through this issue. Its not about the money, it’s about trust. You trust this temple, a place of God to be more trustworthy ! You don’t know how difficult it might be for someone to work and get that money and not have...

We would like to express a heartfelt THANK YOU to Pundit L.Maharaj & the staff of the Shree Tulsi Mandir for being so patient, humble & accomodating during our Yajna/Wedding. Our Yajna was for a duration of 4 days (26DEC-29 DEC 2019)during which time we also hosted a birthday celebration and wedding ceremony, it was one of a kind ,EPIC I would say. Incorporating a wedding into a Yajna seemed almost impossible to me -not an easy task. I wondered for days if my husband was crazy .

Approaching Pt.Lakhram with this idea was nerve wrecking by itself not to mention I thought he would also think my husband was crazy as well. To my surprise he was very intrigued by the idea. From the day we booked our dates to the day it was actually happening , nothing was ever too much to ask Pt.Lakhram. He answered all of my million and one questions with utmost patience and in a timely manner.

Under the guidance of Pt.Lakhram planning my own wedding was truly a blessed experience . I had nothing to worry about. The coordination Pt.Lakhram had with the various vendors and I were amazing. The entire operation went smooth and slick . The welcoming entrance to the side of the mandir , the mandap, floral arrangements and all the setup downstairs were beautiful and on point. I didn't have any complaints. Every last detail I had envisioned were happening like magic thanks to Pt.Lakhram.

It was a great feeling to know I could have relax and enjoy my special day. There were a lot of people working behind the scenes to make this happen. THANK YOU.

We could not have asked for a better venue or Pundit to host our event. All of our guest were well taken care of by the staff of the mandir. It was so spacious and clean. The nightly preparation of dinner for our guest by the mandir was exceptionally delicious. They always checked in with us to ensure things were to our liking. Pt.Lakhram, the venue and staff exceeded all of our expectations . We cannot thank them enough and will forever be grateful .

All of the outfits for the bridal party and grooms party were purchased from Pt.Lakhram. The quality and prices were amazing and still are.

THANK YOU yet again to Pt.Lakram and his team of the Shree Tulsi Mandir for making our day magical. To this day I have no idea how he pulled this off but he did; he turn my fairytale dream into a reality.

We will highly recommend our friends and family to host their religious events there. You will not be disappointed .

In every incarnation, we are meant to see and experience based on our karma and the will of the Divine. In this lifetime, I have had the blessings to meet Pandit Lakhram. He is one of the spiritually highest figures that exist in Kali Yuga. His creation (or rather the Lord's creation with Panditji as an instrument) Shri Tulsi Mandir is a energy source of Divine and guidance as per the Hindu tradition. I met Panditji years back and It didn't take me much time to realize that he is actually an enlightened guide who helps remove the illusion of Maya and steer you out of your challenges of life. He has provided me his blessings and timely guidance so that my boat keeps sailing towards light. There is no question he has not answered and I inwardly feel all his actions are divinely guided. His humility, professionalism, timely support, guidance based on his inner vision has helped me at all times. At the Shri Tulsi Mandir, the light and divine vibrations I feel when I attend the weekly Sunday morning and other events (marriages, birthday celebrations, pujas (for pitrees and many others) is immense. The community under Panditji's guidance and leadership grows materially and spiritually. In 2019, I attended the 'Go Daan' (Cow worship) at the temple and also the Ganesh Visarjan (Lord Ganesh submerged in ocean) during which I felt my karma getting washed away. The Hindu values and traditions ooze out of the practices of the temple executed by Pandit Lakhram. His intuition keeps the universe around him in harmony.
