Sal's Food Market — Restaurant in New York

I want to start by saying this post was my absolute last resort. My family has been going to Sals for 30+ years and has never had a problem until now. On numerous occasions after the new owner took over we have had issues with the chicken cutlets being a rubber-like texture with a foul taste. I spoke to what I believe to be the new manager Pasquale after speaking to another customer in the store that had the same issue. Pasquale completely dismissed our complaints and said we were the only people that had an issue with the new chicken he has been selling. (Which is a lie. I’ve spoken to a handful of people with the same issue.)He then indicated that he needs multiple people to complain for him to make a change. Today I went in to buy chop meat and he asked about the chicken and I told him the same thing. He was nothing but rude and actually laughed at me and said I should stop complaining. Why do I still go back? The guys that work there will do anything and everything in their power to help and make the customer happy. Don't even bother. Since Mike is gone, this place has gone downhill. The other day my husband had to eat something. So I told him to get a sandwich at Sals. He got sausage peppers and onions All they keep telling him was that "It's Pasquale 's recipe " what a crock!! I took a bite and the red sauce was disgusting. I had such bad indigestion it required about 10 tums. But the kicker was my husband got the worst case of food poisoning. That was the only thing he eat all day. Sandwich at 4pm. Vomiting all night and part of the next day....

I usually have a great experience here but this time was no good and all it takes is one bad experience to change my mind completely. I ordered a cold cut sandwich with mayo, the mayo looked a brownish color and the roll was so stale and hard.
