We came here after a day at the Met- hoping for an early supper of some pizza and pasta. No reservation, but seated right away: 5 stars. Ordered a beer, marinara pizza, cestino di focaccia and cacio e pepe. We got the pizza, Peroni, and bread right away: 5 stars for cold beer and hot pizza! When the cacio e Pepe arrived, we were confused- it was just a dish of cooked spaghetti noodles with nothing else. The menu described the item as including “Pecorino Romano, crushed black pepper & extra virgin olive oil” and the plate looked nothing like what we understand cacio e Pepe to be. We got the attention of our server after a few minutes and he explained that this is how they do it. He then offered to add pepper and cheese at the table side. The attached photo shows the noodles after he finished. I get it- it’s not like we are at a spot that specializes in this dish, and the description included olive oil (not usually an ingredient).. we didn’t expect a masterpiece, but it was a really awkward experience. We felt like Serafina Fabulous Pizza was trying to gas light us into accepting that a shallow bowl with un-seasoned noodles is normal. The server removed the item from our bill, and offered to comp us with some coffee, but we just wanted to get out of there. He cleared the table in a huff, and took the remaining piece of focaccia that I put on my partner’s plate - about $1.50’s worth of that side! Luckily we shared the pizza so she didn’t have to leave without eating. All in all, a very unpleasant part of our 5th wedding anniversary day. Not a huge deal- we had a reservation for sushi later that night. Life is good when the worst part of your day is getting served a bowl of sauce-free noodles!

I recently dined at Serafina (last Sunday) and had a mixed experience. The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was attentive. I ordered the farfalle al limoncello, which was delicious and packed with flavor. However, my friend's dish, a spaghetti alle vongole, left much to be desired. When asked about our meals, I mentioned that mine was enjoyable but my friend's lacked flavor – it was bland and dry, with an overwhelming taste of garlic and no trace of any sauce. The waiter insisted that's how the dish was meant to be, but based on my previous experiences with this dish at other restaurants, I found it disappointing. It is expected to have a certain amount of sauce; the dish is not completely dry like spaghetti Aglio & Olio. I felt really embarrassed because I recommended this dish to her, based on ones I’ve dad before (I had it last Friday in Mystic, CT and it was incredible). I had recommended it to my friend with high expectations, but unfortunately, it didn't meet them. Overall, while my meal was satisfactory, the inconsistency in quality between dishes was disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration to improve their offerings.

What an amazing place to eat at on a sunny day! It was such a joy to see the colorful and cheerful decoration of the restaurant. I recommend that you reserve in advance mainly because there’s no waiting area and you will end up having to queue on the narrow staircase leading up to the restaurant (not very comfortable). Luckily, we did have a reservations so we sat down immediately. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick! We were a party of 3 and we shared a margherita pizza (without olives) and we each had our own pasta dish: 2 of us had the black truffle ravioli dish and I had the Paglia E Fieno (fettucini with creamy tomato sauce). The pizza was phenomenal from crust to toppings! The 2 other people with me LOVED their ravioli dish and I also loved my fettucini dish. What I liked about my fettucini dish is that the homemade fettucini itself was really special and the portion was very generous! I ended up not having dinner that day! Highly recommend this place!

A few weeks ago we spent the day at The MET and then walked here. It was our last day in NY and we were looking for a good place for a last meal. This place did not disappoint. It is such a beautiful location. You enter and walk up a curved stairway to the resturant which is on the second floor. We sat near the windows where you can look out into the city. I had this pasta which was recommended by the server as her favourite one. The pasta was so fresh and the flavour sooo delicious (see photo). It was about 20 USD, if I remember correctly. My mom only got a Caesar salad with salmon but she loved it as well. The flavour of the dressing was nice. My dad ordered pizza and my brother got Calzone. The pizza was basic with tomato sauce and cheese, etc. but my dad really loved it. They gave bread to start which was mediocre, wished it could have been warm. And the service was friendly enough. But we still had an amazing experience with the delicious food and view.

Extremely mediocre. Do not get the lobster ravioli. It does not really taste like lobster, they give very little lobster in each ravioli, and also don’t give very many ravioli. The portion size is smaller compared to other dishes. The truffle pizza was also not very worth the price in my opinion. It has a strong truffle flavor, I’ll give it that, but. The cheese was solid and not very melted, and there wasn’t much to the pizza except the solid cheese and truffle flavor. Gnocchi was pretty good, nothing special though. I liked the truffle ravioli and other pizza. Atmosphere is really lovely, great lighting and decor, especially on second floor. Service is good too! Overall would not come back because the food is not worth the price.
