SGD Sogongdong Tofu & BBQ — Restaurant in New York

I wouldn't come back to this place. While the food was mediocre, the portions were so small. Getting the combo w/ tofu, the soups were tiny and the meat/grill was tiny portion. This wasn't what netted them the 1 star. The tip i gave them on my bill was already approximately 18% of the bill(pretax). A male employee came up who wasn't even our server said "the custom tip you gave isn't an option you must select 18/20/25%"; he didn't even bring me a pen to fix it for them which was not going to be a problem. Sorry but if the custom tip is an option and you must select only 18/20/25% tip then please make it a store policy and remove the custom tip option from your credit card receipt. The customer service was below acceptable(no checking on you/no water refills etc., had to ask) so there's no justification for a 18% tip and the difference was really 3 dollars(post tax tip). This was hands down the rudest experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. My family of 8, including my grandparents, waited over 30 minutes for a table. Instead of seating us, the woman at the front gave our table to a family of 6 who came in after us. When I questioned it, she dismissed me and told us to go eat at the restaurant next door — beyond disrespectful. Who does that? We weren’t even offered the option to wait longer. One younger worker actually tried to help us, but the front woman shut her down. My grandparents specifically wanted to eat here, and instead we were humiliated and pushed out.
