Tried this place out after it was recommended to me by a family friend. I hate to say it--as much as I love pizza, Sofia's Pizza was the first spot that made me depressed when eating a pie. How does that happen?
I ordered from there a couple of times just to give them several chances in case one day things weren't going so well or whatever. Always ordered a small pie, half cheese and half pepperoni as I always do, garlic knots, and even these pepperoni knots which not a lot of pizza places serve.
Each time I got my food, it arrived lukewarm or just a little cold. I thought I might've been doing something wrong even though I tip well. Delivery drivers were always kind and thankful. However, it always took a while for it to arrive and I always got a cold-ish pizza. Strangely the garlic and pepperoni knots always arrived warm. Perhaps there are some issues I was unaware of at the time.
The pizza itself, truly, nothing to write home about. Every time I ordered, I always got a sad, lukewarm pizza that felt like it was sitting for a bit. It never really came well done as I asked for either but I never gave complaints, just asked them to make sure when I ordered.
Unfortunately, I can't give them no more than two stars. The delivery drivers and people on the phone are very kind but the pizza just isn't. Maybe I'll order from them again one day to see if things change and I get a hot pizza. Or maybe things are different if I go there to have a slice and taste...
Read moreSo sad to make this review but it might help someone else here. Customer service started off okay. I was craving something special for Sofia’s Pizza and looking at the ingredients from the menu (also confirmed by the gentleman over the phone pre-booking) I went for the Ray Special Pasta, which is exactly the whole wheat penne with grilled chicken, sautéed spinach and sun dried tomatoes. This is amazing. Now, when the food was delivered to me, there was a strong smell so I called back first to thank for the fast delivery and then to confirm these ingredients again. I specifically highlighted there was something else on the pasta until they said “ROASTED GARLIC”. And there was a lot!! So, if you are allergic, not tollerant or don’t like too much garlic in your meal or other reasons PLEASE TRIPLE CHECK WITH restaurant to confirm what else it’s in your meal. The kind gentleman didn’t mentioned on the phone before I ordered. Not everything it is listed in the menu. Even though I didn’t finish the delicious pasta I was craving to have, because of the roasted garlic, this morning I woke up with nausea. Please add all the ingredients or kindly update your menu both flyers and...
Read moreMoved back to the area recently and someone told me to try Sofia’s. I just ordered my first order and was highly disappointed. First of all I asked them to send me Parmesan cheese. You know the condiment that all Italian restaurants put on the table for free, well they never sent it. When I called them to ask where was the parm cheese I asked for with my order, the girl on the phone told me it cost two dollars. What world do you charge two dollars for an item that is considered a condiment in an Italian restaurant! First strike. Then I proceeded to open the pizza box that was to hold the two pasta dishes I had ordered only to find lunch portion cartons that were only filled half way, yet they charged me dinner portion prices! Strike two. The dishes themselves we’ not anything to write home about. They were bland and I needed salt on them, something I tried to avoid putting on my food. One dish had only 4 shrimp in it and that they consider that a dinner portion. They were even cheap with the pasta if that could be believed. The customer service I received on the phone had a lot to be desired. This was the first time I ordered from them and it will...
