Tried this place out after it was recommended to me by a family friend. I hate to say it--as much as I love pizza, Sofia's Pizza was the first spot that made me depressed when eating a pie. How does that happen?

I ordered from there a couple of times just to give them several chances in case one day things weren't going so well or whatever. Always ordered a small pie, half cheese and half pepperoni as I always do, garlic knots, and even these pepperoni knots which not a lot of pizza places serve.

Each time I got my food, it arrived lukewarm or just a little cold. I thought I might've been doing something wrong even though I tip well. Delivery drivers were always kind and thankful. However, it always took a while for it to arrive and I always got a cold-ish pizza. Strangely the garlic and pepperoni knots always arrived warm. Perhaps there are some issues I was unaware of at the time.

The pizza itself, truly, nothing to write home about. Every time I ordered, I always got a sad, lukewarm pizza that felt like it was sitting for a bit. It never really came well done as I asked for either but I never gave complaints, just asked them to make sure when I ordered.

Unfortunately, I can't give them no more than two stars. The delivery drivers and people on the phone are very kind but the pizza just isn't. Maybe I'll order from them again one day to see if things change and I get a hot pizza. Or maybe things are different if I go there to have a slice and taste...

So sad to make this review but it might help someone else here. Customer service started off okay. I was craving something special for Sofia’s Pizza and looking at the ingredients from the menu (also confirmed by the gentleman over the phone pre-booking) I went for the Ray Special Pasta, which is exactly the whole wheat penne with grilled chicken, sautéed spinach and sun dried tomatoes. This is amazing. Now, when the food was delivered to me, there was a strong smell so I called back first to thank for the fast delivery and then to confirm these ingredients again. I specifically highlighted there was something else on the pasta until they said “ROASTED GARLIC”. And there was a lot!! So, if you are allergic, not tollerant or don’t like too much garlic in your meal or other reasons PLEASE TRIPLE CHECK WITH restaurant to confirm what else it’s in your meal. The kind gentleman didn’t mentioned on the phone before I ordered. Not everything it is listed in the menu. Even though I didn’t finish the delicious pasta I was craving to have, because of the roasted garlic, this morning I woke up with nausea. Please add all the ingredients or kindly update your menu both flyers and...

Moved back to the area recently and someone told me to try Sofia’s. I just ordered my first order and was highly disappointed. First of all I asked them to send me Parmesan cheese. You know the condiment that all Italian restaurants put on the table for free, well they never sent it. When I called them to ask where was the parm cheese I asked for with my order, the girl on the phone told me it cost two dollars. What world do you charge two dollars for an item that is considered a condiment in an Italian restaurant! First strike. Then I proceeded to open the pizza box that was to hold the two pasta dishes I had ordered only to find lunch portion cartons that were only filled half way, yet they charged me dinner portion prices! Strike two. The dishes themselves we’ not anything to write home about. They were bland and I needed salt on them, something I tried to avoid putting on my food. One dish had only 4 shrimp in it and that they consider that a dinner portion. They were even cheap with the pasta if that could be believed. The customer service I received on the phone had a lot to be desired. This was the first time I ordered from them and it will...

It's been long overdue since I've come around here and even longer for a review. When I used to live around the South Ozone Park area, I regularly came here around 2009 - 2019. Last time I came around was around 2021 to get a short bite to eat after getting a booster shot during the C-19 era. I've recently thought of this place again and figured to stop by here after some time. The place looks narrow outside but it's very roomy with plenty of seating in the area. The guys behind the counter are cool and very attentive. Solid service just as it was when I first came around many years ago. I got a Chicken Pesto slice, a chicken roll and root beer which came up to $18. Prices have certainly gone up since then but that's the new normal these days. Unexpected cost aside, Pizza hasn't changed in quality and taste at all. Sofia's has always had very solid variations with their Pizza and the roll was cooked very well with the dough not so chewy. It was worth a revisit coming down here and I'll come back around pretty soon.

I have to give Sofia's one star for the horrible customer service experience they provide to customers who call over the phone. I called to place an order for pick up and after being placed on hold and waiting patiently for a few minutes the very impatient person who picked up was rude, talking in such a hurry that I could barely make out his words, and when I gave the name of the person who would be picking up my order (my father) said "I have no idea, tell your husband or boyfriend the number is 67 and to come in half an hour" and hung up the phone. This is a terrible way to treat a paying customer. I have had several similar experiences with Sofia's but I keep coming back due to it being so close to me. However, due to the rude staff, the long wait times when calling, and the inconvenience they cause such as randomly not accepting cards one day and accepting them the next, I think I'll find another business to spend my money at. Edit: I just received the pizza and as always, it was way too salty.

Ive come here multiple times for their chicken marsala w spaghetti and tiramisu and it's always on point!!! Their specialty sliced are lovely. See ravioli slice. Pasta is aldente and the marsala sauce is yummy. The prices are very reasonable. The quality of food amazing. But don't expect a five star sit in dining experience. Some caveats, I learned I needed to ask for the marsala sauce on pasta or they just give tomato. The staff behind the counter is usually very nice but haven't gotten sit down restaurant treated, you buy at the counter and they put it on your table. They will give you hot bread and olive oil. No cup of ice. Will have to get up to ask for stuff. So just don't expect to be the most comfortable if you sit in to eat, but they bathroom is always clean!
