So the food is ok, nothing special. The restaurant itself doesn’t seem clean, almost neglected to be honest. The most disturbing part was that the service was painfully slow.. got here 18:45, waited to be seated at 19:10, entres started arriving at the table at 20:48. 5-7 minutes apart… then my plate of pad cee woo was said ran out of wide noodles… 🤦‍♀️ I refused and shared my wife’s plate (don’t have time for a sleepover)… We asked the waiter if they could comp some of our sit-down, waiter was stuttering, giving us excuses about one chef / one pan.. suggested to perhaps comp few soda cans… we weren’t responsive to that offer much.. at the end we got 10% discount. Mind you, it’s 21:24 and we’re still waiting for our check.. I don’t think they should have a sit-down restaurant, they don’t handle it well. Takeout and cheaper should be the guideline here. Personally I’m never coming back....

READ TO THE END! Honestly, guys I've been coming here for some time now. Never once have I had a displeasing experience. They are very conscientious of giving there customers a pleasing experience. This place is a piece of Thailand in regards to the food! This is the best Thia food in Forest Hills neighborhood hands down and has been consistently good for years! They have Vegan and Vegetarian options! The food is quality and quantity! (My favorite is the basil shrimp fried rice and my husbands favorite is pad thai mock duck) The service is great the music is great (music is jazz), the bathrooms are clean! And the price is right! You won't regret it!

Additionally: I have been doing takeout with this restaurant and I have to say that I am very disappointed!!! The food is NOT QUALITY!! Its as if the give you scraps. It's a Hudge difference when dinning in. Very...

DON'T EAT HERE! NEVER, EVER GET TAKE OUT OR DELIVERY!! They cut the portions by 1/2 on take out. The soup was 4 oz. The Pad Khing has 1/2 the container, it didn't have ginger, snow peas or celery just a big amount of bamboo shoots. The shrimp was old and tasteless, I picked them out after trying 2, thinking the 1st one was a bad one. I was wrong the 2nd one was worse. I only ate the vegetables. The Basil Fried Rice had 1 basil leaf torn on top. No basil flavor at all. The food has 2 profiles, bland or very salty. No real Thai flavor. The only good thing about the small portions is you don't have as much food to throw out. I wish I read the reviews first. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ⚠️ I would give them 0 if I could. I feel sick now. Go to BKNY if you want great lunch specials and tasty, fresh Thai food.

Nestled in the heart of Forest Hills, The Star of Siam, is a true gem for Thai cuisine enthusiasts. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with the inviting aromas of lemongrass, coconut milk, and exotic spices. The ambiance is cozy yet vibrant, adorned with traditional Thai décor that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu boasts an impressive array of authentic Thai dishes, each bursting with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. Whether you're craving the fiery kick of a classic Tom Yum soup, the creamy indulgence of a Green Curry, or the fragrant simplicity of Vegetable Dumplings, you're sure to find a dish that tantalizes your taste buds.

Small inconspicuous Thai place near Forrest Hills boarder. Went with a few friends. I had the Mock Dock Pad Sew Ewe and some spring rolls. The mock dock was good as were the noodles with a proper chew. I thought the spring rolls were not that good with a too soft texture inside more like paste than actual Thai veggies. I also had a Thai coffee which tasted of older coffee and typical sweet creame. My friend had the Thai iced teas and liked it. Service was prompt and polite. Very basic interior. It served its purpose but not someplace I would search out necessarily.
