Sunset Coffee Shop — Restaurant in New York

Came on a Tuesday morning to get breakfast. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was without a doubt made by a seasoned grill chef. Meat was cooked through and had great color in it. Eggs were fully cooked, no shells and cheese was nice and gooey. The bread was perfectly toasted, cut and wrapped to perfection. I pride myself on making amazing breakfast sandwiches and I struggled to agree with myself with the thought of making this better, a thought I usually have after eating a breakfast sandwich. Breakfast sandwich on a hero is def 5 stars.

Service wise I give a 4 - the grill chef actually greeted me while the counter lady was on the phone. Sounded like she was taking a large order but she was a nice lady in her way of speaking to the person on the phone and to me later when I paid.

Atmosphere is definitely a 2.5 because the place is spacious with a whole other side to sit and dine. But there were flies in the dining space, I enjoy sitting down and eating but hate swatting flies while trying to eat. There also wasn’t a garbage can and you put your basket on this shelf and you put your other garbage in a tray bin with your plate. In terms of “feeling” I definitely did not want to stay longer than needed as I also saw roach on the wall so it’s not very settling when eating and dining.

So I was hospitalized at NYU for a day and when discharged I was so hungry. I went here and ordered beans rice and fish, bake chicken rice and fried, lentil soup, and some other things. Thins guy was taking care of my order when a Caucasian man walked in this guy just ran to the guy and abandoned what he was doing.

There was a Hispanic heavy set, short lady who was attending to some food with gloves on who was attempting to take off her gloves to help me.

When I asked the short Hispanic guy with the cap who had just neglected me in the middle of my order why he had done this, he replied “ because I was black and the man was Caucasian”.

Okay I do not recommend their Cuban sandwich I thought I was eating a plate of Grease the bread was almost like a mirror and it just wasn't worth $9 I could have gotten a better Cuban sandwich at a Chinese take out.
