I am visiting and went there with my friends after hours for a few drinks and a hookah. On the first place they charge 40$ for hookah using the cheapest low quality charcoal that is done burning in 30 minutes and on top of that if you want another charcoal so you can continue enjoying your hookah you need to pay 25$ for a refill which I have never seen in my life. I was on a separate tab and grabbed a few beers for me and myself. When the server gave me the check it was around 60$ and I saw that gratuity was included. Never received a receipt or something and today J woke up and my transaction was 73$ so now I need to call my bank and waste my time. Its not about these 13$ but about the fact that I can't go out without someone trying to take more money for the same service, having in mind I work in the hospitality industry. Atmosphere was okay but if you go definitely skip the hookah and check how much you pay and the transaction in your application...
Read moreWe visited Tacoshi in Astoria about two weeks ago, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The sushi was just okay—definitely nothing memorable—and felt a bit overpriced for the quality.
What really ruined the night, though, was the service. There were only two parties dining: us and a party of two with a dog. We tried multiple times to get her attention, but she repeatedly ignored us, barely glancing in our direction. Despite how empty the restaurant was, our food still took a long time to arrive.
To top it all off, the tip was automatically included on the bill without our consent—which felt unfair given the poor service. Overall, it was not the experience we were hoping for, and we...
Read moreI was so excited for this place to open! & it did not disappoint! The restaurant is gorgeous inside, a great spot for a date night, a girls night or celebrations. Every corner is dripping with beauty & photo ops.
They have a great happy hour that's from 4-8pm everyday, yes that’s including weekends! (half off apps and house drinks). The tropical sushi roll was my favorite & the Tacoshi is a pretty cool concept to try. If you order 3 sushi rolls, they bring it on a cute tower. They also have tacos & you can mix & match 3 different kinds in one order. The coconut flan was the perfect way to end the meal. All the servers were so friendly and attentive. Shout out to Stephanie who was always checking in on us & making sure everything was going good :)
This new spot is def worth...
