I visited this place yesterday with a friend, and unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience. The atmosphere and decor are beautiful, and the space itself is really well done — but the service left a lot to be desired.
We came during Taco Tuesday happy hour, which advertised four taco options on the menu, but we were told only it was actually only two options, I ordered a soft drink that the server forgot, and I had to remind her to bring it. Later, we tried to order more tacos, but they were never brought out.
We also ordered frozen drinks, which came out completely unfrozen — not even slightly slushy. Throughout the visit, our server never checked in on us or asked how things were going. When we asked for the check, she forgot again, and we eventually had to flag down another staff member. To top it off, the tacos we never received were still added to our bill. When we brought it up, the server seemed confused about whether we got them or not. I had to tell her I didn’t want it anymore because it looked like she was gonna go check on it after like 30 mins of waiting for it, didn’t get an apology or anything. Definitely wasn’t worth the money I spent.
What really frustrated me was seeing a 20% gratuity automatically added — especially for a party of only two people. After everything, I didn’t feel that level of tip was earned at all.
This place has potential, and maybe we just caught it on an off day, but the service definitely needs...

They're drink may seem pricey but soooo worth it. I had the Borracho which came in this amazing skull cup and was strong but smooth! Regular margaritas are great!- props to the bartenders!!! Queso fundido is the best yet I have tried here in NY (coming from a Texan native!) Fresh tortillas truly make a difference ;)
The fajitas were delicious loooved the presentation for the sides and juat how juicy all 3 meats were (shrimp, steak and chicken) the sauce had a soft and subtle kick which was a nice flavor.
Chocoflan for dinner was a perfect dessert, can't wait to come back and try other dishes!
The music vibes are on point! Took me back to my Tejano days , corrido music videos playing along with new reggaeton and tropical music videos.
Live music wasn't a nice performance and sound wasn't overly loud which you still were able to speak at your table. Band was great from the trumpet, trombone, drums (nice and subtle on the snare and bass , respecting it was an indoors performance) , guitar and vocalists. They truly make the restaurant come alive and even more together to add to the art and fire vibes in the restaurant.
Drove over an hr in traffic, but...
Read moreThis may be an isolated incident, but I came here after reading amazing reviews and great publicity only to leave with the most disappointed experience. Maybe it is one of those I built it up too much in my head moments. Sunday 4pm, Party of 4, $250 bill because we actually wanted to properly try the full experience. Queso fundido, nachos as apps, Steak and burritos are the main course, side of guac, and 2 margaritas.
Nothing about what we consumed was "great" just barely ok. Asked for a well-done steak, came back medium, and the side of guacamole was disappointing, considering i got more guacamole in my burrito than there. Even the margaritas were mid. Is as if the flavors didn't want to properly mesh, and they were just there doing its thing separately. The burrito was underwhelming as the rest of the food. Their servers were ok as well, not rude, but also not "omg your so polite and charming" The ambiance of the place is the real hook to lure people in, and maybe I'm old fashioned but to include tip in "parties of 1 and up" as the bill put it... I believe tip should be earned. That was the last straw. I personally won't return. This is a 2/5 experience if I ever had one. Like I said. Hopefully was a one off... But 1...
