The Best Mexican Food and Unmatched Care in Queens!
We've been loyal customers of this incredible restaurant for a couple of years now, and I can honestly say it's the best Mexican food in Queens. Not only does it have the most authentic and delicious flavors, but the staff here has truly gone above and beyond for our family.
Our daughter has severe allergies to dairy, eggs, and peanuts, and because of this, we are extremely cautious about where we eat. The team at this restaurant has always been so kind and accommodating, ensuring everything is prepared safely and with the utmost care for her allergies. They take the time to thoroughly clean everything and follow strict precautions to make sure her food is 100% safe. We trust them completely, and it's why this place is always our go-to.
Unfortunately, we’ve had bad experiences at other restaurants when asking for the same level of care for her allergies. In one case, we had an anaphylactic reaction due to improper food preparation, which led to a scary trip to the ER. Thankfully, that has never happened here. Their attention to detail and dedication to safety is something we don’t take lightly.
Beyond the exceptional service, the food here is absolutely amazing. Every dish we’ve tried has been delicious and made with so much care. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, making us feel like part of their family. It’s rare to find a place that excels in both taste and service, but this restaurant does it all.
I highly recommend it to anyone—whether you’re looking for incredible Mexican food or a place that truly cares about the needs of...
Read moreWhat a great #queenseats find. Delicious fresh Mexican food at very reasonable prices. They have a few outdoor seats, a walk up street side counter where you can see the grill men in action and a small interior dining room. I had driven past it a few weeks ago and made a mental note to stop by as we love Mexican street tacos When we got to the front of the place the very friendly owner Jose urged us to try some of the meats and asked the grill guy to give us some samples. We tasted the carnitas and were hooked. The chicken rings was also delicious but our fav is always carnitas and Santa Fe is some of the tastiest in the east coast. Our standards were formed from years of living and working in California so this was a pleasant and very happy find!! Jose was eating black beans which we also adore and they looked fabulous so he suggested the Plato Santa Fe and was happy to accommodate our request for no rice but yes to beans salad and carnitas. For 9.99!it was a large and delicious platter of yummy food with a fresh and well seasoned taste to every component from the salad with strips of ripe avocado to the succulent shredded pork with crispy edges to the silky black beans with very tasty red and green salsa in squirt bottles on the side. It was a quiet Monday night and we enjoyed our meal and chatted with Jose as we observed his kindness to an elderly neighbor and talked food shop (we are in the catering business ). Great find for us and we are excited to have an option for really tasty reasonably priced food not too far from home and on our way back from Manhattan trips as it's off of queens blvd...
Read moreOk where do I start, first off this is a legit Mexican place unlike chipotle and all the others; I placed this place in the same basket because I heard it's a franchise with restaurants around the city. So this review would only apply to this particular restaurant.
You place your order at the front of the restaurant, you will also find a selection of food and toppings, picture chipotle, I didn't pay much attention at the variety of food they offer since I was simply there for the tacos. Once your order is placed you head to your table and the food will come to you.
The tacos are made with the small tortillas instead of the regular sized ones, I ordered 4. 2 beef and 2 Al pastor which is the spicy pork with pineapple. You have the option of adding the pineapple or not. I was pleased that the pork was actually good tasting and that it didn't stink or had a nasty taste like in other places. So that's a plus, the beef was short of taste but they made up for it with the red sauce they serve on the side. The only detail I didn't like about this place is that the setting is too dark. The lights are set to a low setting, and the furniture ate black with chairs spray painted orange, red, green, and blue. So if that's your thing then you'll...
