I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Halal Urban Bistro (The HUB), a remarkable food truck owned by Waqas, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I approached the vibrant truck, I could sense the passion and dedication that goes into every meal they serve. I decided to try their famous juicy beef smash burger, and it did not disappoint. The patty was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, delivering a delightful burst of flavors with every bite. The fresh, high-quality ingredients made a noticeable difference, elevating the burger to a whole new level of deliciousness. One of the standout aspects of my visit was the opportunity to see the kitchen in action. I made a video of their meticulous burger-making process, and it was impressive to witness the care and precision that Waqas and his team put into each order. The kitchen was spotless, and the staff worked seamlessly together, showcasing their commitment to excellence. Beyond the incredible food, I had the chance to chat with Waqas about his business. His enthusiasm and vision for The HUB are truly inspiring. Waqas is not just a business owner; he's a culinary artist dedicated to providing exceptional halal food. His commitment to quality and customer satisfaction shines through in every aspect of the food truck's operation. The HUB's vision of providing exceptional halal food is clearly evident in every aspect of their operation. The attention to detail, from the presentation to the taste, is truly commendable. It's clear that Waqas is not only running a business but also creating a culinary experience that resonates with his customers. If you're in search of a mouthwatering burger that combines quality ingredients with expert preparation, look no further than The Halal Urban Bistro. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this food truck is a must-visit. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return for another delicious meal.

Would rate this a solid 7.5/10 Like many others I came here because of the hype. Got the beef smash burger regular (not the spicy version) Flavor: I honestly think anyone’s opinion relies completely on what their priorities are. For me, it’s flavor. I like going out to eat stuff that’s difficult to replicate at home. That however does make me more critical and harder to please. In terms of flavor this didn’t deliver as much as it should have. It’s a well made burger with a generous amount of minced meat (equivalent of ~2 kababs) a slice of cheese and mayo sauce inside of a thin soft bun. If you’re hungry and in the area then yes this will make a great lunch or dinner. But if you’re traveling out for this and expecting an explosion of amazing flavor then you might be disappointed. I would’ve preferred more flavor in the meat- definitely a touch more salt- and more of the sauce (gets hidden in the cheese). I haven’t tried the spicy version so it’s very possible that has all the flavor this one was missing. Quality: I do really appreciate that unlike other common places that have a very bready burger bun and meat barely filling it up, this feels more like you’re having a bun with the meat. Wait time: I ordered one burger, was told it would take 10-15 mins and was pleased to get it within 10 mins.

My husband introduced me to this joint, he stated it won’t disappoint. He was not wrong!! It’s got good portion size, has good flavor and is filling. I first tried their beef burger, I love how it’s so simple yet so satisfying that you could have another one. The patty stays in the bun so it doesn’t slip out like most burgers when you try to munch away! The loaded fries, now hold on a minute, it’s like eating a burger with fries in 1. The trick is to eat it there and then, in the car, whilst the fries are hot and so fresh and that’s one good thing about this place. They give you FRESH hot fries on the spot, so be careful don’t burn your mouth!!! Whilst waiting for my order last night, I would glance up from the car, randomly noticing people walking on this rainy evening. Where were they going you say? To go get some of this delicious foooooood! There is always a line my husband explains, always, regardless of what time you go, and that states that this place is the hottest one, it’s so close to my house (which is dangerously bad but so good!). You can tell that they put the love into food when mixing those flavors that you would devour. Yum yum nom nom! 🍔 🍟

I decided to try The Halal Urban Bistro (THE HUB) based on all the positive reviews, but my experience was a complete letdown. I ordered a smashed burger and loaded fries, and was told it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Not only did I have to wait far longer than promised, but people who ordered after me, including two ladies, received their food first while I kept waiting. When I decided to add another burger, the second guy who took my order acted like I was inconveniencing him and gave me major attitude, saying it would take another 15 minutes. At this point, there was literally nobody else waiting, so his excuse that there were ‘other orders’ was clearly bogus.

The food itself was a disaster. The burger was dry and flavorless – nothing special at all, just like any other average burger joint. And to top it off, they gave me the fries with an open lid, causing them to spill everywhere in the bag. It felt like they didn’t care about customer satisfaction at all.

I find it hard to believe the positive reviews about this place are genuine, especially since I’m not the first to complain about the long wait times. Looks like this is the standard here. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that values its customers and serves food worth your time and money. Avoid THE HUB if you want a decent meal with...
