Poor taste. Terrible logistic and location, money scammers. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Thank you for your kind response. I want to clarify a few things. I didn’t approach the gallery. I got an invitation to participate as a curator. The location is not the main issue therefore is inconvenient for most of the ppl since are not public transportation available or friendly access to the location. Also is important to mention the unprofessional and aggressive manners from the director to the curator. The exhibition was capriciously and maliciously canceled two weeks prior to the opening. It was about 6 months of dealing with toxic and poor judgement management from the gallery director and staff members to the curator and the artists. Without to mention that the deposit for the gallery space that never was used wasn’t reimbursed. The whole experience as an artist as well as a curator was poor and I wish no one to have to go through it. Kunstraum's Artist in Residence program was instrumental in the development of the body of work I have been focused on for the past 2 years since my residency. The residency came at a time where I was mostly working in a solo studio setup after grad school, and wanted to be more connected to an artist community. There were numerous openings, meetings with curators and critics, and opportunities to connect with other artists. The cost of the residency was far less than the average cost of a studio for the same amount of time, and Kunstraum provided all the necessary documentation I needed for securing a grant. A great studio space for artists. I was part of the Artist in Residency program, and Kunstraum was a wonderful host: friendly, helpful, and incredibly responsive to artists' needs. The guest curator program and visiting curators help artists get varied and helpful feedback from professionals. Most of all, the community is lovely– the studio regulars were welcoming and inspiring. In my three-month residency, I finished as much work as I'd do in a year, much of it in entirely new directions that I haven't had time or space to explore before.
