Wendy's — Restaurant in New York

I come to this location about 5 times a month. I am a teacher, so I need something fast to eat that is healthy and fast. I usually go for lunch but this time, I decided to go for dinner. I decided to have my daughter meet me for dinner at this location. While I was making my order on my phone. The manager (she) ran up to me and scared my daughter by yelling at us. Her exact words were, "You can not eat that food here." She yelled at us, that the other customers just looked at her. My daughter had a bag with food from another restaurant, which was for her Dad to eat at home. But the bag never was open, and we were just there waiting for our Wendy's food to be prepared, to have dinner. The bag was also sealed. I made 3 orders from Wendy's that evening for dinner. She assumed that I was going to sit there and eat from another restaurant and that I never ordered Wendy's from my phone. But I had the proof on my phone. I was waiting, standing up. We never gave her any reason to think that we were opening the other restaurants food. She walked away. I walked to the counter and asked to speak to the manager. She stated that she was the manager. I explained to her that what she did was not acceptable as a manager. She was not supposed to yell, assume, and approach customers in that manner. It was rude and embarrassing. I have been a teacher for the past 22 years, and I have never approached a parent in that manner. I also explained that to her . My daughter was so embarrassed. As a manager, she should know how to speak and approach customers. She then stated that she approached us in that manner because a lot of people go to this Wendy's and do that all the time. I told her that has nothing to do with us. She can not approach us for what other people have done. I am a human being, and I deserve respect. The same way that we never disrespect others. The other workers behind the counter shaked their heads and...

Update ... August ... I don't know if they have new management here or not but this Wendy's is slacking. Sunday night my boyfriend and I stopped by Wendy's drive through .. there had to be at least fifteen cars on line.... So we decided to go in, that was a worse idea, there were a lot of people waiting for their food, and a decent-sized line, people started to get off the line and leave...noticed that the cars online were also leaving... There was one person taking orders then I saw the person who was taking the order walk away never came back apparently the manager told him to stop taking orders because there was too many people on the drive through and too many people waiting for their food, meanwhile we already decided we were not going to stay, but I cannot believe how management handled the situation so poorly.... A few days later I decided to go back in give them another try.. went in during lunch time ordered a side salad with feta cheese as an extra , a six piece nugget , now mind you there was only one person in front of me, she got her food now I'm waiting for mine, I seem to have caused the problem by ordering feta cheese as an extra, they didn't know what to do, called the manager over, so I said is there a problem, I don't know why they were making such a big deal about it, finally got my order which was to go ,got home with it and it was totally wrong ordered the side Caesar salad with feta cheese I got a garden side salad with cheddar cheese ordered a six-piece nugget got a 5 piece nugget, and that is the third time in a rowthat I ordered a six-piece nugget and got five nuggets , don't know what's going on here and never used to have a problem here before maybe they need...

This Wendy's sucks. They updated the decor at this restaurant a couple of years ago. That's probably the only decent thing about this restaurant. They have a TV there but you can't hear it because that have the sound turned all the way down because they have music playing through the speakers. They have modern Coca-Cola machines but up until recently they didn't work properly. The management here is very bad for a Wendy's restaurant but I do like their food that's the only reason I go there. Forget about ordering a salad on a Friday night most of the time when they ask you for half or full size and you choose full size first they have to check to see if they have it and a lot of the time they don't have it in stock. Not once have I ever gone to a McDonald's and had to have them check to see if they had a salad in stock. Never did a McDonald's ever tell me that a salad was out of stock. In this place it happens all the time. Horrible. UPDATE: AS OF OCTOBER 1, 2023 THIS WENDY'S BOUNCED BACK! THEY TOOK A 180 DEGREE TURN AROUND. MANAGEMENT HAS BOUNCED BACK! THE RESTAURANT IS CLEAN NOW, SALADS ARE ALWAYS IN STOCK! I HAVEN'T HAD A PROBLEM WITH A SALAD SINCE POSTING THIS REVIEW. THE TV NOW HAS SOUND AND THE SODA MACHINE WORKS AND THERE ARE 2 OF THEM NOW. EXCELLENT JOB TURNING THINGS...
